This was my first video and, with my newest ones around Pokémon being a bit succesful, I'm happy to see it piggybacking and getting more views. THAT BEING SAID, I really don't like how this one looks, I didn't have a microphone or a teleprompter when I made this. I think that I want to make an updated version of it whenever we have more news about this game! 😅

Hi, parisian here, i've seen some french Pokémon fans theorizing that Pokémon ZA would happen in the past, because it looks like it's inspired by "les travaux d'Haussmann", basically that guy tried to rebuild Paris to make it look grandiose two centuries ago ? I don't know anything about history so I'm not really the right person to ask, but if that's the case, then it's more logical for it to happen before Pokémon X and Y. I wonder if we'll see A-Z (the giant with long white hair) in the game. And I am really interested by the idea of a game taking place in Illumis (that's Lumiose's name in the French version of the game btw), but that's just because the idea of exploring a big city in a Pokémon game always seemed interesting to me.

one thing about setting it during the Haussmann Renovation is that it'd be placed at the same time period as Legends Arceus, potentially making it a sequel with returning characters

I think this is the first time I've heard someone mention The Power of Us movie. It is so very good, probably my second favorite movie after Pokemon heroes. I totally agree that the anime movies really show what Pokemon could really be. I hope Legends Z-A delivers. Great video!

I love this video a lot of them are just speculating about new pokemon forms and megas but this is what I'm interested in, the gameplay and vibes that pokemon can bring

One of the aspect I kinda forgot that I loved about pokemon is the care being put into designing cities and the way it usually sit super well within the core idea of the coexistence of nature and society that the main games got going since gen 1 So I really relate to the part about Goldenrod, and it put more into perspective on why I love gen 5's Castelia City so much (damn it now I'm actually hopeful and eager to see what ZA could potentially bring to the table, thanks I guess 😂)

My dream Pokemon game would be set in a metropolis and basically your character is hunting pokémon that "don't belong" but along the way you create an understanding between human and pokemon. I see abandoned buildings, sewers, alley ways and of course big parks with caves and alcoves.

I can't wait to see Lumiose in full glory! I am hoping its a small city surrounded by wild areas that we have to tame in order to expand Lumiose! The time travel idea is cool too, but honestly as long as i am dodge rolling away from pokemon attacks, I am in!

I hope you keep this up! The point you brought up really showed me a different perspective from pretty much any other opinion I’ve heard about. Also, your ideas sound awesome, if that’s what we are going to get in this game, then it’s going to be amazing!

Yessss honestly I’m more excited about the stuff you talked about than what starters we’re gonna get. I really enjoyed hearing your thoughts about this and I wish more people talked about it. Ever since I was a kid I’ve wanted to LIVE in Pokémon and that’s what I’m hopping they make me feel like with this new game

You really touched upon one of my favorite aspects about Pokémon, which is the fantasy of living your normal life in a world where Pokémon are real and people live more harmoniously with nature. The animated clips you played in that segment were so cool too and I'd love to know what these are from!

I can feel the brazilian culture oozing from this video, I don't even know how to explain it. It's warm and it's cozy and it highlights, somehow, one of the strongholds of Pokémon which other people have mentioned: an alternate fantastic reality which you can live your dream life as just another person in the world.

@cecilily, I think I found your channel less than a week ago, and have maybe already watched almost all of the videos you've made so far. You're really good at this! It's very fun to hear your perspectives and thoughts on all things Pokemon. We've both been fans since the late 90s (I was 10 when Gold & Silver came out, so think I'm two or three years older), and it's great to listen to your perspective on the series/franchise & how it's influenced your life, etc. Good luck + keep up the good work... see you in Hop Hop Hop City

This is my third video from you and I love your perspective. You should keep doing youtube. New York city (Unova) is a horrible example though! 😂 there's no pokemon running around new york because PETA (team plasma) has a huge presence there. But I get your point. This is something the pokemon community has been at odds with for a long time. These concepts were there when we were children and as adults we realized how powerful the message was. For example, legends arceus and gen 4 have parallels. There's a barren swamp in gen 4 with a women that states this used to be a "field of flowers where pokemon used to flourish" in legends arceus, that same location has is home to a field of flowers. The concepts are there if you're a massive nerd. Like you said, you used to be able to go into towns, talk to the people and there was lore that didn't center around the protagonist. Now, such as mesagoza it's fleshed out to be dumbed down for children. But we were children and that's what made us fall in love with the pokemon games. We didn't understand the heavy concepts but they grew with us. I'm one year older than the pokemon games, like a lot of it's fans. Pokemon showed us that it can grow with it's fanbase. It can appeal to a younger audience and an older one at the same time. I think you organize your thoughts on this well and you can help gamefreak listen.

I don't agree. I just think it'll be boring in an urban area. Like how tf will we even catch pokemon. It just seems boring. I won't be playing it because of that. Love ur content tho keep up the good work!

Consider: Paris has catacombs! You could encounter ghost and dark-types in a Pokémonized version! There have also been multiple cities in previous games (Virbank, Castelia, Hau’Oli) that had areas where you could encounter wild Pokémon, so it’s not actually that Farfetch’d (ha)
