Mines were losing so much money in the 80s that it'd have made better sense to tell everyone to stay at home on half pay and get our coal by the same methods by which we obtained clothes, white goods, toys, TV sets ...

@DonkeyDave269 Dave, UK steel production would-ve been wiped out by the 70s oil crisis had the govt not started to bailing it which contravened EEC laws hence why Labour wanted Brexit. The UK govt then had to close plants up and down the country.

luv listening to this lads i was in the army 80s miners strike when it was all going on 🤔thatcher did not use us and that reason was we had family involved in this scary times what the establishment would go to to achieve there aim 🤔👍✊✊
