Callback to episode 25. There was a mention of ogres and grapes being units of measurement. The description of an Ogre says 9-10 feet tall, I'm going to round it to about 3 meters per ogre. As one grape is six seconds we have reached an IMPORTANT premise. Derek said that the sled on level 5 could go ~30mph. The sled on level 5 was traveling at approximately 8.94 ogres per grape! Astounding!!!

Fun fact that I thought I'd share about ice (because I just learned about it): When sheets of ice, often large bodies of water, freeze quickly, they make a sound that is often called "singing". This is caused by the rapid expansion of the ice and sounds as if the ice is breaking, even though it isnt. It is both a very cool and very spooky effect!

That's just TTRPGs in a nutshell. I was running a campaign where the players met a ranger that was going to be their guide through a cursed forest. When they asked his name, he said "names are dangerous for my kind to give freely, so you may simply call me Lancer." The halfling, without missing a beat says, "I'm going to call you Crackers!" Serious companion character immediately became a goofy character with a serious facade

The pens, a symbol of the ogres being treated like lesser than the goliaths even to the point of being almost cattle, being smashed into weapons for a violent ogres revolt is just so satisfying from a story perspective. It's also interesting to see the ogres, former slave owners themselves, having fallen into subjugation by a more powerful civilization. Barnabos is right that slavery is an abomination and as long as it is perpetuated all people are in danger of finding themselves reduced to property by a mightier force.

So I looked it up because I got curious, but I did find it interesting how Argentholme is a combination of two words meaning silver and hills/islets. Argent is French for silver (thanks, google translate), while the definition of a holme is: an islet, especially in a river or near a mainland. I think it’s a little curious that the keep they need to go to is in the middle of a lake and the main currency of the city among its inhabitants is silver (and copper too, but I’m trying to make a point 😤). Anyway, smart name for a city, Derek 🧐👏👏👏

Ok i have a question ive been sitting on for a few episodes. So several back the cobalts sent them to kill a large bird beast. They had killed it shortly after escaping near death with the windigo’s and had taken an eyeball that could paralyze anyone who looked upon its gaze. Alright so I'm very new to DnD, and I'm basically just learning on the way; I have some common knowledge about the most popular species, or things that I've picked up from my friends who plays Baldur's Gate 3 (for example I recognized the description of the illithids in Ogreton). But mostly, I know nothing and it's been a pleasure to discovered more about this world.
