That reveal was so good that no one saw it coming even though the episode is titled Man of STEEL. 😆 Looks like the HBO MAX money didn't just buy better effects for the show, it bought better writers as well.

Not tryna be that person, but I understood who he was from the title 😅 I was confused the entire time as to why there's a black guy with an exosuit that actually rivals Superman and him being "Lex" felt too forced to me since Lex's suit usually utilizes his satellite of stored energy, yet when Superman went to space, there wasn't a Lex Satellite. Too many inconsistencies for him to just be black Lex, but before this episode I wasn't too confident that the CW writers could pull something this clever considering how the other shows were going. Glad my speculation actually had merit this time 😭 first time from these shows, but I wasn't expecting Eradicator to Potentially be that evil Superman (or maybe that's Ultraman)

Also, none of the shows with Luthors power armor showed a satellite in space...Batman/Superman public enemies had Batman fly into space and it didn't show any Lex Luthor satellite that powers his armor

@@ItzMeWill didn't say it powers his armor, I said he usually uses his satellites with the armor. Even in Supergirl they utilize the lex satellites! Injustice utilizes it the best though. That's just what I'm accustomed to seeing when Lex is on the scene 😅

I am also glad that the show is now addressing its continuity to the Arrowverse as both Clark and Lois clearly still remember their experiences with the multiverse from both the events of Elseworlds and Crisis on Infinite Earths

Thank you John Diggle Stewart. You know what thinking about it, it makes sense on how they were able to fool us because in the comics John Henry Irons and Lex Luthor are quite similar. Irons is like Luthor’s polar opposite. They’re both Bald, Smart Inventors, and they built their own Exosuits. Steel is like DC’s Iron Man and Luthor is a Anti Tony Stark.

Half human, but also his anxiety. I know my anxiety causes me to get overstimulated more quickly, so he might be able to use some of his techniques for anxiety with his powers.

My prediction, by the end of the arc Irons will know Superman is Clark, and join with him vs Edge and his X-Kryptonians, with Lois and the boys being the key to his "conversion".

I don't think knowing that he is Clark is gonna matter, especially considering the very heavy trauma that he's gone through. I believe what will happen instead is Irons is going to convince Gen. Lane on how much of a threat that is Superman which will make Gen. Lane feel vindicated for hoarding all the Kryptonite and creating Project Hell which in turn would be a Skirmish between Irons + DOD vs Superman vs Edge.

@@izs6946 It isn't him knowing Supes is Clark that's important it's him knowing Lois and learning Lois is married to Supes. However with what happens in later episodes I'm not sure where they're going with Irons anymore. I doubt though we'll see a three way throwdown, because Lane is on the worlds thinnest ice with Lois and he isn't going to risk destroying his relationship with her and the kids by siding against Clark again.

Here's my theory for John Henry Irons' timeline: On Earth-S (A Pre-Crisis Earth, which I'm calling Earth-S as in Steel): 1) First, we have the scene where John, Lois, and their daughter watch Earth-S Superman and the other Kryptonians (which are really just humans turned into Kryptonians by Earth-S Morgan Edge using X-Kryptonite) destroy Metropolis. From here on out, I'll be referring to them as the X-Kryptonians. 2) Next, we have the scene where Lois kisses John as he's being deployed for war (it's from the end of Episode 5). 3) After that, we get the scene in the trenches where John fights side by side with his father-in-law, Earth-S General Samuel Lane. Earth-S Superman uses his heat vision and kills everyone, except for John (this scene is from the end of Episode 2). 4) John returns home to his daughter, knowing that conventional weapons are useless against Superman. He has no way of defeating Superman or the X-Kryptonians. One day, in a bunker with his daughter, he watches Lois reporting on the news channel. Lois informs the world of her discovery of the existence of kryptonite, which is the only thing that can harm Kryptonians. Now they finally have a way to fight back. Sadly, John and his daughter also watch Lois be disintegrated by Superman on live TV, only further increasing his hatred towards Superman. 5) John works with his daughter to build a suit of armor and a kinetic hammer that could give him the ability to go toe-to-toe with Superman. A lot of the armor is built using salvaged tech from Lex Luthor and/or LexCorp. (Side Note: The fact that they use Lex's tech seems to imply that Lex assisted in the fight against the X-Kryptonians, and was probably killed. Lex seemed to hold the rank of "Captain" in the military. Personally, I think it could be cool to see Jon Cryer as Earth-S Lex Luthor.) 6) John says good-bye to his daughter as he puts the suit on and gets onto a ship that'll take him to the Kryptonians, so that he can fight him. However, at some point, the Anti-Monitor's wave of antimatter from Crisis on Infinite Earths almost instantly destroys Earth-S and all its inhabitants, including John's daughter, Earth-S Superman, Earth-S Morgan Edge, and all the X-Kryptonians. John probably watched as the antimatter wave destroyed the planet. Somehow, the ship he's on gets sent to Earth-Prime in the Post-Crisis Multiverse. 7) John learns at some point that he's landed in another universe, and that he's been robbed of his chance to avenge his wife. He learns that there's a Superman, a Lois Lane, and a Morgan Edge on this Earth, which hasn't yet fallen to Morgan Edge, Superman, and the X-Kryptonians. In the recent episode, John reveals that on Earth-S, Superman pretended to be a hero to gain Earth-S's trust, then exploited that trust to betray and overwhelm the planet. Because of this, John only views Earth-Prime's Superman as another impostor trying to gain Earth-Prime's trust, and not as the hero he actually is. John vows to "save" Earth-Prime from Superman and Morgan Edge, no matter what it takes. Enter Episode 1 of Superman & Lois.

I don't know about the Eradicator because of him being a key character in the reign of the supermen comic because of he helps to bring back Clark. But Cyborg Superman we had one in Supergirl, but I would like to see a proper version of that character in this show.

Who else thinks Jonathan has powers? How was he barely able to drag the hammer and then swing it hard enough to take out the lights? Maybe the red sun has the opposite effect on him? Which would be interesting how they would use his powers in the future.

I am thinking what if the Evil Superman is Eradicator? Trying to rebirth Kyrptonians. Now where is Eradicator on our Earth, Leslie or Morgan? Also just realized that while they hacked the AI to see anyone as a Luthor but it recognizes Lois. Which makes sense.

27:16 I was thinking that, too. Is Edge pulling a Lex Luthor and going to the remaining Earths and pulling Supermen into this Earth, poisoning their minds with X-kryptonite (we don't know what it does to a real Kryptonian, only to humans), and unleashing them against the GOOD Superman? Because none of the other humans besides Leslie Larr is even able to handle more than one power before their bodies gave out, let alone ALL of them. Hard to predict without knowing exactly how the X-kryptonite affects a Kryptonian. I'm gonna guess that it gives powers to humans but drives a Kryptonian crazy, somehow. (I'm probably totally wrong, though, because I 100% thought Steel was actually Lex from another Earth) Also, if Jonathon didn't have strength equal to Jordan's...his hand wouldn't have stopped Jordan's punch. It would need to be a force EQUAL to, NOT less than, in order to stop that much power in its tracks. If that wasn't the case, Jordan's punch would have blasted THROUGH Jonathon's palm and into the other kid's face.

Physics states that if a an object with force is traveling at optimum speed, the only thing that can stop it is an object of equal to or greater force than that same object. It's simple science. If Jonathon didn't have powers, Jordan's fist would have went straight through his palm and INTO that kid's skull, just like the log Jordan was training on.

The result of that punch just proves it was enhanced but not too overpower to obliterate a hand. According to the evidence in the series anyway.
