Icathia is losing, some dumb mage there decided to call the void (yep, that void), destruction ensues, Jax is one of the only few survivor (along with zilean), while zil uses his followers and time magic to find ways for reverse the destruction, Jax roams around the Runeterra, finding strong warriors and challenging, hoping there are strong enough to stand alongside him and help him reclaim his home.

They've depicted his scaling so well with the bonus stats he gains each round, just wish he had a bit less one dimensional gameplay, both in the card itself and in the deckbuilding aspect. He looks like he could be fun at first but then turn mundane very quickly, kinda like Deep.

What scaling? He loses the stats he gains reach round, honestly seems pretty weak. Love the visuals and lore, but the card is pretty bland. Another strike for X and buff for Y, even Tristana had more flavor. This is the champ I've been waiting for since the beginning. Seeing how much work and detail went into this design actually gave me chills I'm in love with it. I don’t know how many more weaponmasters could be shown before the release but this has the potential to act like Deep and get an additional card every other patch. It just makes the deck feel samey all the time cause they are so limited in their options.

Deep and lurk are other category of pre-built deck. Jax is Runeterra champion, therefore he is limited, but not as limited as Deep is. You can still combine his origin with any other region and unlike Evelynn his strategy has a lot of synergy points in multiple regions.

We never got a legit view on what icathia truly was besides a gateway to the void, but in turn it's a constant bottleneck warfront! battling the voidlings, and pushing them back so they never overtake Shurima into the world! Jax, and his ragtag band of Icathian fighters hold the line for us!

i like the constant release of new content in the game and all but i have one issue i've noticed that almost all the new released champs have the new "origin" passive with them ,and also it is a cool concept it almost defeats the purpose of building regions and collecting different cards that works amazing with each other especially when u give them their cards that work really well together for no drawback nor regional limits it really just feel more like taking away from the fun of building a unique deck

It keeps Runeterra champs from locking all their support in one region. Thus, if a Runeterra champ has really good cards in their package, they’re spread out over a bunch of regions that also get access to them instead of one region that gets all of them (this was the problem with the support division Ekko/Zilean, for example).

@@lekiwiman76 maybe, if all 10 were good. Not saying these are or arent. But you would get a lot more cards to build a deck witch 2 whole regions or 10 cards and one region without any intresting passive effect like jhin or kayn(and bards auto chimes turn 3 forwards.).

I think we gave Origin effects too much credit (I blame high expectations on Jhin's). Essentially Runeterran champs are the final final 'region' that spreads out tools and flavor among all the other regions. It can be used to mix cards with similar traits from all the regions, but thst isn't the point
