I thought this was a very interesting draft to navigate, hope you enjoy!

can you tell more about uncommon pattern you mentioned in the video? Links with lists of uncommon mean something?

Crazy how you managed to draft into a decent deck. Pretty cool to watch

My $0.02, Limited must make it easy to produce new and original content so I see why you do it (and maybe you enjoy it as well). I find it boring. Soul-suckingly boring. As a suggestion for future content you might consider trying to pilot the Twitch invitational decks (even the ones that didn't do so well). As always I appreciate and enjoy your (non-Limited) content.

Jesus Christ, that final game was just filthy. Opponent had the nut for sure.

My draft from about a week ago, a hatchery spider came up pack 1 pick 1. I took it, then another at pack 1 pick 2. I took it too. I ended up in UG and winning with only a single loss. I feel I have so much yet to learn about this game.

so i guess the bots have been reconfigured to draw all good Dimir stuff now. Last GRN draft was 5 out of 7 games against Dimir while you also play Dimir because you're not suicidal.

Damn I didn't think Hatchery spider was that bad. I'd have taken both! 2:38 TIL how to use print runs.

Severed Strands cannot be used "in response" since it is a sorcery card. Could you explain that thing about "predictable ppatterns"? I've found only llinks to lists of uncommons, not the explanation.
@LegenVD5 жыл бұрын
Not sure what the first comment is referencing, see the other comments for more info about the uncommons.
@Unkmasold5 жыл бұрын
@@LegenVD you said, that you prefer this card, because it can be used as a response for opponent's removal - you sacrifise that creature for strands. But you cannot do it, cause strands is not an instant, but sorcery
@LegenVD5 жыл бұрын
@@Unkmasold I said Undercity Uprising can run into instant speed removal killing your creature (before it gets to fight). If you cast Severed Strands you don't run that risk. I'm fully aware Strands is a sorcery.

I would have taken ceratok and maybe even candlelight vigil over woodshapers, since you dont have any enchantments to fetch and want to be somewhat aggressive

Is centaur peacemaker that bad? Its still a 3/3 for 3 isn’t it?
@nickritchie21545 жыл бұрын
Man, I feel like an idiot for asking, but is that "uncommons appear in predictable patterns" thing common knowledge? Because that seems like the kind of thing that breaks arena drafting completely.
@LegenVD5 жыл бұрын
In all honesty I rarely make use of that knowledge, it's usually just a tiebreaker for very close picks. You can also misinterpret the information and end up drafting a much worse deck than if you didn't know. It's a "use at your own risk" kind of thing, but people deserve to know.

I think you under-valued the reaper early on and perhaps could have played around him better. Drawing +1 for every creature killed is huge in limited. I did find it interesting that you chose to abandon black quickly and transition to W/G. I probably would have held harder onto black and am not convinced my final draft would have looked better because of it. Thanks for the video.
@LegenVD5 жыл бұрын
Reaper is a headache to deal with, especially for Selesnya. Imp made things even more awkward, since we couldn't reliably use our Righteous Blow to kill Reaper. Even if our deck had more removal like Luminous Bonds, it doesn't actually answer Reaper's ability. It's possible that we should have kept Might of the Masses instead of trading it for Centipede considering the Reaper was in play, but other than that interaction we avoided trading as much as possible. We had to hope to power through it and if it wasn't for Finality we might've been able to get there with Trostani.
@montekristo6435 жыл бұрын
why would you say that golgari/selesnya are some of the weaker guilds in this draft format?
@Gonbebe5 жыл бұрын
The general quality of the commons and uncommons for those guilds are lower than Dimir, Izzet, and Boros. More specifically the payoffs for Undergrowth and Convoke pale in comparison to something like Surveil which is already really good on it's own in addition to having it's own payoffs. That's not to say you can't make a really good Selesnya or Golgari deck though, especially if you are the only one drafting it getting passed multiple Golgari Findbrokers and Izoni etc.
@MaZe7415 жыл бұрын
in retrospect, are you really ok with passing those 2 giant spiders?
@LegenVD5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the card is pretty mediocre.

These complicated decks annoy me, I run black and white vampire steal life gain life deck with some extra removal, usually takes me 8 turns to drain an opponent.
