Yeah honestly as much as I get pissed at how many people are playing infinite number of board wipes (I like tokens), it's still a pretty varied format with a lot to offer.

The only problem I have with is that planeswalkers shouldn't be commanders and stuff like Baral is legal in the command zone but drannith magistrate in the 99 isn't. I concur that it still is the healthiest format available on Arena

Whoever invented commander (and therefore Brawl) saved Magic for me.

Some Magic judges invented it to play as they were bored of playing the sanctioned formats they oversaw all day. Originally they used one of the elder dragons (hence Elder Dragon Highlander) as their commanders.

Brawl was created by WOTC with the release of Dominaria a few years ago. Unsurprisingly, it was very poorly received. 60-card Standard-only commander wasn't what anybody wanted. What we did want was what eventually became Pioneer but it took them several more years to give that to us It wasn't until Historic Brawl that people actually got excited for the format because it's probably the closest we'll ever get to real commander on Arena

A good card to put in this deck would be “Wonder” gives all your creatures flying provided it’s in your graveyard and you control an island. Very achievable in this deck.

Geralf, Visionary Stitcher is the closest you're gonna get on Arena. Would be interesting to see if they add any other power cards like the Incarnations in a future Historic or Modern Horizons update

I included it in the Kiora deck, the main issue is having enough reliable ways to discard it. This deck has a few mill effects and Cryptbreaker, but otherwise it seems a little inconsistent.

Okay, so I’ve been patiently waiting for this to come out. I’m an icu nurse, and honestly, been seeing a lot of death these last two years. Found myself being drawn to zombie decks, strangely enough. Buttttt this shit rocks! It Rocks and synergizes so well! Like I already have most of these cards here, so maybe a few tweaks and have a killer deck!

Sarab god is my favourite magic card. I started playing paper magic around the time that hour of devastation was released and the pre-release for that set was my first paper event that I went to. I was lucky enough to open sarab god as my promo card, it was such a cool experience. I only lost in the final match vs a guy who got even luckier and had Nicol Bolas in his deck, plus a bunch of those red burn spells which exiled, the only clean answer for the sarab god, and he had that spell in his hand in each game we played even though i played the scarab god on curve.

Really, really enjoying the Brawl-content! Speaking only for me of course, I would like to see also games where you lose sometimes.. Its clear that the videos are meant to be a showcase for the deck, but it takes away a bit the fun while watching, knowing that 95% of the games shown will results in a win..

Each time I see a nethroi commander deck I sob when it seems there's no death's shadow in it. That one creature enables ya to bring back SO much stuff because every point of negative power it has lets you cheat in one more point of positive power.

But death's shadow ability doesn't apply while it's in the graveyard - its power is always 13 so long as it's not on the battlefield. Which makes it very good with Sarkhan's Unsealing and very bad with Nethroi.

@@princequincy5421 Any creature that has an asterisk in its power/toughness has an ability that works in all zones. Like Tarmogoyf. If the creature has a numerical power/toughness but gets + or - X/X, the ability will usually only apply while it's on the field. Like Nighthowler.

They were in here originally, but if you look at the numbers there are only around 33 actual zombie creatures. We get quite a few zombie tokens in different ways, but that won't help with Horn or Banner as much.

@@ericgee6114 40+ is where I'd want to be 50+ is where it really shines, but most decks have too many non creatures. The numbers for Icon work out to 80%+ and 90%+ respectively.

@@LegenVD yeah that makes sense. its why after your vid i actually reworked my werewolves deck to eliminate them since i only had about 12 werewolves and 4 changelings. but there are tons of ways to make wolf tokens so having to try and only have a situational anthem for about half my creatures doesnt work. sucks that not every tribe can run it. even tribes like pirates or goblins i only run about high 30's max
