This deck had so many hard-to-spot synergies. I especially love the inclusion of cards like relic of legends and virtue of persistance, old classics that take full advantage of the new mechanics.

Let's remember that the youtubers are mostly having fun here. If LVD just switched his 4 Cut down for 4 Go for the throat, most games would have been very different.

Playing for flavor vs playing for the win. It was sad to see him not go for it with the Seraph and just hard focus getting Kona out but it is nice to see lines like that are in the deck for when you need to pull off a sneaky evasive move to secure the kill. I like this deck honestly but seeing that play missed was big sadge. Good spot

@@mirage-cat Could be decent at enabling Wylie Duke on curve, for Kona specifically Relic of Legends is a little more reliable as it's harder to interact with and is better when you draw it later in the game as it still helps you double spell with more Legendaries on the battlefield.

I would love to see games where you lose if the loss is relevant and highlights a weakness in the deck. Especially if you talk about how you try and play around the weakness! You do kinda hit that mark where you talk through some tough spots you end up in!

There weren't many monored decks in the preview event since they didn't highlight many new cards, but expect to face them a lot on the ladder. Same with Sunfall control decks, which will also be tough to beat with this strategy.

It does, but could always add more. The issue with adding too much removal is that it lacks synergy with our main gameplan. At least we can find Hovership with Rip and use it to tap our creatures. Virtue of Persistance is good to put in play with Kona. We don't have those same synergies with Go for the Throat.
