definitely a misplay. i think the player was confused on the win condition. should have wiped the board reduce the creatures to buy time since the player is heading for a poison win con.

If you want, Crystal Grotto from DMU is a great way to filter mana so you can use all the skullbombs abilities, plus its a land that gives you a free scry on ETB

This deck seemed really silly and fun in the video, but it did so little in the face of a typical suite of removal. What I ended up doing is taking one away of every skullbomb except surgical, putting in 3 Patchwork Automatons and one additional research desk. I also took out a Meria in frustration after drawing all four in one game, and added in another dragonspark reactor instead. Honestly, the deck's performance SPIKED, and even outside of that is way more fun to play. Meria as an engine is good but the additional win-cons are needed, and the addition of the automatons gives maze skullbomb way more value. (I don't think splashing white to use the basilica skullbombs to make the automatons fly is worth the inconsistency.) Like - it's still a skullbomb deck. But that's a good thing. This is plain dumb fun. It just needed a few more pokes to get there.

@@Se7enDuece What I described are the only changes I made outside of the land base. I didn't have enough of the right duals and I didn't want to spend wildcards on this, so there's a few more basics, and in the process I put in a boseiju who endures. That's all I changed!

Was there any consideration in adding any black sources so you might be able to use Dross once in a blue-moon to get back a threat if it gets removed? Or are you just accepting that if they are able to deal with our threats then the game is just over?

Looked into some artifacts that can filter mana, but they didn't seem good enough. Tapped trilands are an option if we really want black mana, but also has its drawbacks.

I feel like haveing access to swamp mana for dross spell bomb to get your combo creatures back faster rather than digging off the top and with out triggering anything is kinda wasteful since you only have so many spell bombs to build up for the win.
