Thanks for doing this! I love the combination of Cassian and danger sense on the Mandalorians. It seemed their firepower wasn’t great but that their mobility kept them out of danger and probably made it easy for them to break through

Hello! I was looking to start getting into legion. I’ve never played a miniature game before and I was wondering which core set do you recommend. My main concern is how I’ll be able to paint them so I was wondering which would be easier?

If you are looking at a cheaper option I would recommend the original core set with rebels and imperials. They are similar in difficulty to paint, have more options for units and are generally cheaper than the clone wars factions. However, my favorite and, in my opinion, the hardest faction to beat us the republic that comes in the clone wars core set, however this faction is more expensive to get into, but a little bit easier to paint. The separatist faction is a mostly swarm faction, is really difficult to assemble and paint, and is more/as expensive as the republic faction.

I got the original core set and I was glueing them today, but there was a problem. One of the rebel troopers had a unit leader arm instead of its proper one. Both of the rebel unit leaders have there proper arms and the other trooper who was in the bag with the problem trooper had his proper arms. What can I do about this? I know I didn’t lose or misplace the arms because I have the original leader arms.

Technically you can only use covert ops if you have another Commander on the field.

This is not true actually. You can nominate a special forces or corp unit to commander if you use covert ops.

Reading it word for word, “when you deploy, you may treat your rank as (operative symbol), another (commander symbol) unit you must be in your army.” Are the rule sheets that came with Iden and Cassian incorrect?

The key is “when you deploy”. This is long after list-building, when you must have a commander. And yes, the rule states that after you deploy if there is no commander you’ll assign a corps or special forces to be your new commander.
