This scene is fantastic, because is (un purpose ) non perfect, the absence of logic, is ideal. I really enjoy this "LEGION" , because force you to think and go deeper in every scene. How about the last fight in the mountain? With the Song "behind blue eyes"

As ever, fucking brilliant. Legion does exceptional work using music to accompany the scene. The musical dance scenes are art in of themselves, particularly in a "comic novel" genre adaptation. They serve to tie in emotional and fraught sections of the story that can really only be told this way.

OK. The first time I watched the premier I was confused but after watching again I think I got it, this is basically a psychic battle between the three of them right? Oliver and Lenny vs David. It's just being represented with dance because telepathic battles are about perception and mental attack. They are supposed to be surreal and mind bending. Right?

supernaturalawesome1 that's what I got out of it as well. I also think that the dance battle might be David's mind shrouding his understanding of what happened in the club. The psychic battle might have been much more horrific in reality, but David's mind is protecting him from that reality.

Yeah, David was trying to get to the bald man(who is probably the real Farouk) and Oliver and lenny are protecting him. The light change from orange to blue is to show they are in the astral plane.

actually i think the bald man is another personality inside david... there have been subtle hints throughout the first season that shadow king wasn't the only entity inside david's mind... unlike shadow king the bald man might be a good person.. real Farouk is probably the guy with the mustache in paris who was shown in the first scene of 2x01

tru e Remember, on the Astral plane they can create people. Like last season when Lenny/Shadow King created the asylum and filled it with patients that went crazy and attacked everyone. I think this is the same. There "backup dancers" are manifestations they create. Or maybe your right. We still don't really know what happened in the club but that's what I think.

A DAMN shame Cary (Bill Irwin) could'nt have been on the actual 'dance-floor sequence' because he was actually a WAY better dancer, (IMO) overall than any of those three. F*cker had some MOVES, that's all I can say. That said, the look on David's face as he backed onto the dance-floor reminded me of Chris Pratts hilarious challenge to 'Ronan' (in Guardians of the Galaxy part-1): "It's a DANCE-OFF, Bro...you an me..." and I enjoyed every blessed-second of this particular scene...it was an AMAZING way to open the 2nd-season, to an ALREADY amazing show, which really, HONESTLY belongs on the BIG-screen, rather than network-TV ! !

Nah. I prefer the subtlety of using dance and light to depict the mental battle between Farouk and David. Less heavy-handed than using outright weapons to me; and it shows how David and the Shadow King have honed their powers.
