Damn, I just got the RG40XXH as a dedicated PS1 handheld and I love it. Good upgrade from my Miyoo Mini Plus.

LCD now gives them a reason to sell OLED later when internals are old again. The reason to drag old tech seems to be a good enough reason for small increment revisions.

I gave up looking, but did the RG ARC ever get decent custom firmware? …also, any answers as to why it was so ignored? Are devs just nostalgic for Nintendo and nothing else? That was my biggest disappointment in the entire retro handheld era so far. It’s my favorite device, and it seemed like nobody cared to mess with it at all.

There was a lot of RK3566 and Anbernic fatigue among the CFW devs at the time, and configuring it for that nontraditional gamepad was a daunting task. Thankfully the ROCKNIX team did step up to the challenge, so that's my preferred Linux OS for it now!

MM18 is still my favorite but as the landscape sits now the RGB 10 MAX 3 does deserve it's spot. I do wish could get some cfw or even a better launcher like minui though for the RK3566 SJAM devices. The irony is after the m19 for me just needed a better shell the trigger buttons are just in a terrible spot.

Lol we played tetris on ti-83's in high school, you could tetris battle if connected cables and transfer games

That was so good back in the day, I loved doing multiplayer stuff with the transfer cable, it was pretty basic, but worked!
