@VanishmentMatt The fact that most of oldschool metal types dont have breakdowns doesnt mean that breakdowns isnt for metal.Examples Sepultura and Pantera have breakdowns and they are enough metal for me
@Rikuvalor199213 жыл бұрын
@VanishmentMatt Have you heard Domination by Pantera? One of the best breakdowns of all time at the end of that song.

@VanishmentMatt there not like metalcore breakdowns, it's like a bridge with no vocals. that dosnt make it a break down. TDWP is a break down

and it's funny to see people argue about this, someone doesn't like when the band sound equal, and others doesn't like when the sound changes, who the fuck can understand? nobody but is fun to see the wars in this media about it

@VanishmentMatt as an example ....breakdowns can be technical as fuck .....meshuggah , circle of contempt , periphery , tesseract , fellsilent , etc. :D Polyrhytmic beats ..... like ----> 3/4 guitar riff over 7/8 drums :D

@TRZN17 Very true. Too many people assume breakdowns with the rehashed crap brought about by mediocre hardcore and deathcore bands. Groove sections with slowed down tempos were prevalent in metal long before any Bring Me the Horizon rubbish.
@yacambielacontra13 жыл бұрын
@VanishmentMatt You know thtah teh breakdown are in metal since thrash metal?? and are present y many genres like death metal and brutal death metal deahgrind and groove metal, example, skinless, dying fetus, cannibal corpse, cerebral bore, lamb of god the breadowns are using by many ties of music dude the fact is that the core abuse of this but are inmerse in many music firstly in metal ;)

@VanishmentMatt... Breakdowns have existed centuries before metal, and so has the term. Breakdowns to me aren't the 1-5 note chugs following syncopated bass drum patterns while the musicians appear to be trying to suck themselves off. Try Sepultura - Dead Embryonic Cells at around 3:30. If that's not a breakdown, not one of the best you've heard by a legendary thrash band, and not metal, you have much to learn.

Classical music even has "breakdowns." A "break" is the proper term, though, and they serve a similar purpose to a bridge. Nearly every genre of music uses breaks or breakdowns. Deathcore just shit all over them, just like they did to everything else.

@VanishmentMatt actually breakdowns are metal as hell. They are slow, and Black Sabbath (the original metal) is slow. Its only when lame "metal" musicians make them gay that they arent okay

Punk+ thrash= crossover thrash, Crossover thrash gave rise to hardcore bands like "Hatebreed" Hatebreed influenced alot of Metalcore. Punk+death metal = Grindcore, Grindcore+hardcore+ death metal= Deathcore.... Alot of the Core genres like Grindcore, deathcore, metalcore was influenced by alot of Hardcore Punk bands ! So if you're going to hate on deathcore or metalcore, Blame Punk !

i just came across this video and i just have to laugh a little bit. What is this band trying to prove? that they can write thrash/death metal songs the way they did 15 years ago? whats the point? this song is so predictable and basic i don't even get why it has a video. If this band is signed i really have no idea why, its obvious they aren't going to be around very long
@FredrikMikkelsen918 жыл бұрын
They have been around for 15 years and counting (24 Years if you take into account that they changed name in 2001) that's a lot more than many way bigger and more successful bands ...
