My C63 AMG beat my 335i in a few races so I went home, ordered a bunch of performance parts, and spent 5 days modifying the 335i. Little bit of information for turbo upgrade for you alex, go with pure turbos is you stay twin turbo, they are the most reliable because they use the factory housings machined to accept bigger turbine and compressor wheels. Little warning, you have to go get 2 inch inlets

Yes the VRSF inlets will definitely make a noticeable difference especially the relocated ones. My 335i gained at least 15 more horsepower with the stock location vrsf inlets, and holy the spool noises increased a hell of a lot.

He will never grow up and I aspire and plan on being the same way. You haven't turned the Traction control fully off. You have to hold the DTC button longer, then you will have Traction control fully turned off.

dtc vs full traction control off doesn’t do a whole lot for launches - fully on it limits sideways and front to back traction, dtc mode allows all front to back traction slip with cutoff on sideways, fully off allows for front to back and sideways. dtc is fine for launches, you only need it fully off for drifting/ going sideways

Yep the downside to louder exhausts, they make it sound like your doing 80mph when you're really just cruising and driving moderately. I've been barked at countless times for no reason. Glad I'm not one of those type of people that is angered by suck trivial things.

JB4 Map 5 takes a few pulls to interpolate an average and get consistent. It will keep pushing timing and boost until it feels issues and dials back. Takes about 3-5 pulls and you're golden until the next time you change maps. Awesome work!

So glad you're covering an N54! One word of advice would be to ditch the old JB4 unit and get MHD, JB4 is old tech now and is inferior. Also if you are going to be playing with BMWs now you want to get ISTA installed and a Bimmergeeks cable and you have the perfect diagnostic setup.

With how nasty that fuel pump strainer was, you should have replaced the filter regulator that’s on the drive side. And it takes hundreds of miles for the jb4 to auto tune. If you did that race same day as filling up, you did it wrong. Hold down dtc for a long press, you’re killing power every shift. And get an mhd back end flash with shift bog delete enabled. Those inlets would have net about 40whp, so yeah. They were the definitely a must do.

@@mrray55 yea the mbz auto trans is no joke....I have a cls550 I believe it's a 7spd auto with paddle shifter. ...I never use the paddles cause the factory shifts are always on point, the best is the exhaust drone through the cabin while exiting the fwy off ramp, those downshifts sound wicked. ....I read somewhere that those transmissions are the same ones they share with Ferrari

catless downpipes and inlets with a tune you’d be a little over 20psi of boost and that 63 would be giving everything it’s got to catch up. Had the same car. Same gearbox. Newer turbos and raced my buddies c63 a bunch of times and he’d always be behind me but not by much.

What tune was he using? Mhd v5 e40 tune with knock tables desensitized is known to be the best. It's a little less refined but more aggressive than other mhd maps. That map definitely will put down more power than a jb4.

Try having traction control fully off instead of on DTC mode, as I found on mine that this still robs a lot of power and cuts in a lot more than it needs to.

Make sure to turn traction control fully off by holding the DTC button for 5 seconds. It should show the traction light on the cluster not dtc. Traction control limits the cars power by a lot so try the runs again with it fully off
