Air in oil line before filter has to be pushed through the filter. Dry media of the filter is invisible for air. When you have oil over filtering media - you create extra resistance. It can rip a hole in your filter.

If i remember correctly from the previous video the car was originally a 300D model and immediately came up with an idea that I would really like to see on the channel - building an OM606 engine :) Lots of people here in Europe like this engine and tune it(If I am not wrong, I think the OM606 is the 300 Turbo Diesel from a W210). Legends say on stock internals engine can easily take 500 HP.. So, knowing you perfect work from each and every video, I think you will be able to create one of the best cars with an OM606 :)

Two things of note: Don't use primer alone to protect from rust. Primer attracts moisture and will actually promote rust. Shoot something else over the top of that primer on the battery tray. POR15, or just an actual black paint. Two: Before you ceramic coat your glass, hit the glass with your buffer, and your cutting compound. It'll remove any microdebris from the surface, won't harm the glass, and will make it crystal clear, like it was brand new glass. THEN coat it.

E34/E39 BMW 5 series and W/S/C 124 Mercedes are some of the best cars ever made. The LS really fits with the solid engineering of the W124... The W124 diesels were EXTREMELY solid cars, but not fast. They could be made fast though, the straight six 3 liter turbodiesel OM606 engines take 700 hp without being opened. Pretty much the diesel version of a 2JZ. Very nice car with an LS!

Had a E39 528i manual, that was a great car and great to drift as it had the same rear axle as the m3, little low on power perhaps with just 198hp but a Turbo will fix that as they take low boost just fine. I would get another 528i just for a daily driver but they are not common anymore, most were sold with the horrible automatic transmission, and most is scrapped.

We once owned a 1993 300E 2.8 in blue-black metallic with the same gray lower trim & a gray interior. Fantastic color combo and it always received praise when it was clean and shiny. It saved our daughter's life once when she was hit from the rear on an I'state when she was stopped in traffic and a car hit her doing approx 50mph. She was uninjured and the car was repaired and looked great. Took about a week on a rig to stretch it back out. You should get no more than $15k for it. It's tough to market such a car as very few people would ever want it. Stick it on the site you've used before and had the C63 giveaway.

This is a fantastic car. You literally made it look too easy. Anyone who thinks they can do better for 15k had better have been a trained Benz tech with great sponsors and a friend in the autobody business. Your Caprice videos came out about one month after I had bought one of them. Watching you checking boxes and ripping through the top end and exhaust was inspiring. When you threw a bottle in it as an afterthought I should have known better. Anyways my Caprice should be done sometime next week. haha

@trollolol705 cool but who wants any of those cars? Boring and typical. Give me the LS swap Yakuza Cruiser all day.

@trollolol705 for sure. Its hard to get a v6 to sound good to my ears. And the world is free to disagree.

That's the most bizarre hood mod I've ever seen. 😵‍💫

I would have never done that to my hood, but being from Appalachia I would have fixed it with a $6 3D bullet hole decal and said the car used to run liquor. One bullet and the former owner saw the error of his ways.🎉

really enjoying this upgrade and trade series so far. There will always be haters who will badmouth you for doing something other than fixing cars. oh well. I'll keep watching and giving you thumbs up. Keep the trade series going. It's a fun ride.

What do I think the car is worth? I figure it's worth installing a turbo (prior to flipping it for another engine swapped Merc (I think next car should be a Merc with a non-stock motor).

This car is awesome! All the joy of a 500E or Hammer, but you're not afraid to drive it! I'd never thought about an LS-swapped Mercedes, but now I kind of want one, and a 124 I would take no matter what.

I owned a 92, 300e Euro spec. Inline 6cyl with a turbo and full aero package. It was pearl white and charcoal. God, I miss that car and paid about what you are asking in 2004. It was a divorce present to me from me. That thing was a highway star.
