Reddish brown parts from the early 2010s had some kind of dye problem that made them brittle which is really annoying for expensive stuff like Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean!

Thankfully not. I believe the brittle brown pieces only impacted the Mexican made sets.

I found a fake lego version of it for 30 dollars and it's exactly the same

@@pumpkinstudioslego If it were "exactly the same," by definition, it wouldn't be $30. That's why even you referred to it as fake. Also, fake LEGO tends to have multiple structural issues that makes the construction unreliable. It's decent enough for $30, but it's not without issues. LEGO tends to have far lower tolerance levels for their bricks, which is why it costs more. But I completely understand why someone may find the current price of $1,400+ for a new set prohibitively expensive. Alternatively, one could buy individual parts from sellers on Bricklink. A PDF copy of the rules is available from LEGO directly.

I bought a replica of this on Ali express to avoid the brittle brown crap. it was only 70 USD and except the minifigs/sails and flag, the quality was exactly as Lego bricks

Takie filmy lubię najbardziej. Takie, które pokazują, że nie ma czego żałować. Jako (pierwszy i ostatni!) właściciel Schooner, jego Imperialnego rówieśnikami o nowej Baraccudy uważam ten zestaw za słaby. Plastikowe żagle, brak lin i ten tył... Szczerze wolałbym pierwszą Barracudę lub jej Imperialnego rówieśnikami niż ten zestaw. Do tego tamte pewnie nie pękają 😉

this looks soooooo crudely constructed compared to the classic ships from the 80s/90s. This ship is too boxy, the rigging to straight, no rope just sticks ... so bad
