Lego 497 Unboxing, Build, & Review with 10497

Thank you! That was great! and you scratched my nostalgia itch for the original set. It was probably my favorite ever to receive and build when I was at age. I'm totally psyched to do the 10497 tomorrow.

I would have loved to build the original growing up. I will never forget the day I found it in a Lego lot I got from a friend. I have had it since and love it! I hope the build for 10497 was/is great. I really enjoyed building the new set.

@@leggomyjameso6082 That's awesome! I'm happy to know your story! Currently, my new 10497 set remains set up. It bore the indignity last night of wrapping paper strewn over it in the wrapping frenzy. Beneath the wrapping paper there was a small huddle going on. Of the set crew plus a certain visiting mandalorian and child..They were all huddled around the open cockpit enjoying tea or other beverage. :)

Yeah that is the US 1981 catalog, which would make sense that it would be in the box. Nice comparison, both great sets.

I love the box for this set. I know mine is well worn but having the plastic tray inside it is awesome! Most older sets I own do not have them.
