This is one of the first lego sets i ever owned, beginning a lifelong obession with those funny skeleton figs.

Yes, you can't have enough floppy armed skeletons! Also, can't have enough double seated car cockpits :-) I'm equally excited to see the return of this great piece in the upcoming Hidden Side theme. I love how you mentioned this in the review. Many would consider it a juniorized part, but without it, it's really hard to get two minifigs next to eachother in such a small space.
@TrikBrix5 жыл бұрын
Agreed! I was so happy to see them bring that car body piece back... now they just need to make a modern style version that would work with Speed Champions. That would really be sweet!

I noticed there's no Baron Von Baron in Jungle sets but in others does. I wonder why.
@TrikBrix5 жыл бұрын
I think Lego was probably just trying to introduce some new characters in the Jungle theme, since we had all the same heroes. I always wondered why they never brought the original Sam Sinister back...

@@TrikBrix HOW COULD THEY FORGET HIM!? HE'S BARON FKING BON VON! IM TRIGGERED! I'm kidding ;P But seriously though if we speak on pointless Lego Adventures logic, Baron wouldn't miss this piece of juicy treasure. Doesn't look like him. He always was for treasures, i mean look at 3 adventures. Egypt, Dino Island and OE. But i'd like to pretend that this guy is his cousin or brother from another mother and another surname.

I'm on your side, when it comes to the names. And that said, I grew up with the names Pippin Reed and Dr. Kilroy for example. Still the weather related names are just much cooler. Some great pieces in this set. Esspecially the printed columns. I also think the silver knifes are kinda cool pieces. Unfortunally the silver of those and the swords from back then tend to scratch off their silver coloring... Another awesome review :-)
@TrikBrix5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah, I realized after recording that I should’ve said ‘the names I grew up with’ instead of ‘original names’, since they weren’t the same around the globe. And I love the chrome knives - luckily these are in pretty good condition. I do have a few old lightsaber hilts that have had the chrome worn off, though. Thanks again for watching! 😎👍

The corner stamp on the back used to have a point value printed on it here in Denmark. I'm not entirely sure what the point (da-dum-tji) was - something about getting a discount on LEGO or something. I'm not too crazy about the face prints in these figs, but I'm really loving that theres so many printed pieces in the set. The trap is great! I agree that this isn't the greatest set in the theme, but it does have some nice features. Thanks for sharing this - I'm really enjoyin this series! :-)

TrikBrix yeah, it’s incredible! I’m wondering what changed since we get so many stickers now!?

Again great video as always. Binged watched all of your episodes over the last two weeks! (Western being my favourite so i can't wait for more of those). I would have a couple of questions: 1. If it's not to much work for you would you be open to speedbuilds of the given sets? 2. I know they might be considered new sets but how about Indiana Jones? Would love to see that! Anyways great work again and keep it up! 👍🏻
@TrikBrix5 жыл бұрын
That’s awesome to hear! I actually just acquired my first set for season 2 of the Wild West Retrospective, so that one is definitely on the way! As for your questions, I’d definitely like to do more speedbuilds, but at the moment I’m kind of limited by the space on my phone (since that’s what I use to film with), and soeedbuilds take a LOT of space, lol. If I do them, I’ll probably keep them separate from the reviews, though. And Indy is DEFINITELY on my to-do list. I’m not opposed to newer set reviews, as long as they’re cool and haven’t already been reviewed to death. The Indy sets came out before a lot of Lego reviewers started on KZbin, so I think they deserve a good, high quality look. Thanks again for watching! 😎👍

Great analysis! When it comes to the treasure pieces in the adventure sets, rather than seeing them as "decoy" treasures, you could also see them as the real treasure, but temporarily stored in other safe-holdings. Since mythical villains like Hotep and Achu are often seen in person in these smaller sets, that could imply that they are also following the heroes, and/or traveling with their treasures, trying to return them to their safest resting places, since they know the adventurers are after them. Just a different interpretation.

Hm, the car doesn't do it for me. While I appreciate the more off road character compared to the desert vehicles and see the intention of the designer to make something different, the lack of any grill piece makes it look a bit dull. But that's just me. There were also Egypt sets of the same size with less desirable cars. The shrine and its printings definitely justify it.
@TrikBrix5 жыл бұрын
I think some sort of vehicle was necessary for this set, but you’re right - it would’ve looked better with a grille. Luckily, that’s a pretty easy modification. 😊 Thanks again for watching!
