How was the original troll universally hated? Twenty three years later and it is still the most accurate depiction of the character.

Yeah, It's one of the figures that are most like the source material. While I don't find it appealing, it accomplishes its purpose better more recent stuff. They can only use the big fig frame for so many things, honestly. A unique piece like this is good.

For those who were wondering "lady with legs" is actually in the LEGO studios "Scary Laboratory" but in that set she has a skirt and not legs, so when they re-released her in the set mentioned in the video she is called lady with legs because LEGO replaced her skirt with standard minifigure legs.

I think the problem with the clone wars minifigures is that they're in the uncanny valley. They look more realistic, but Lego kept the noseless design, which doesn't mesh with the more detailed eyes and mouths. I think merely printing a nose on the figures would've fixed a lot of the problems

Small addendum, the reason the ki adi mundi (and all the other figs in that era of lego star wars in general) looks so weird and bad is cause they're based on the cartoon series and not the movies. The reason his beard looks that way is because they tried to translate the style of his beard in the cartoon to a minifig and somehow didn't realise it doesn't work
@MonsterTaming4202 ай бұрын
I could see the Bionicle minifigs being kinda cool statue pieces in a build it's funny to think of them used for play, although I use to play with Skylander figures and they had a huge baseplate so maybe it's not too farfetched.
@joshslater2426Ай бұрын
The Harry Potter had many weird figures in its early years. The old Snape had glow in the dark skin, which might look cool, but as far as I know Snape doesn’t have bio-luminescent skin. The old versions of Wormtail were also very bizarre, giving him a wiry moustache and a monk-style bowl cut. They also had a Trelawney figure that looked nothing like what we see in the film, although it’s probably because the designers only had concept art to work off.
