The AAT (Armored Assualt Tank) Battle Tank served as the primary infantry defense vehicle for the Trade Federation droid army. It was first seen in Star Wars Episode I - The Phantom Menace where it showed its combat effectiveness when fighting the Gungans. It was such a reliable combat service vehicle that they were used by the Separatists in the Clone Wars. Even after some rebels found the Tanks useful enough to convert them for living crews. This model is built at minifigure scale and can house a droid pilot

Tell you what though, lego's 2020 AAT fits perfectly into the cubby on my desk, and it was fairly easy to modify it with parts from my collection so it had a hatch at the back and could fit 3 droids inside in a row and one recently promoted commander up in the turret, kinda like the Rebel Scout Speeder (7668)'s setup

the most expensive part there is the 3x3 tan dish piece, much more expensive than the printed quarter dome pieces for the bottom

It looks awesome. Just a question/thought. With the center munition launcher on either side of the "skirt" on the tank. Those seem visually obstructed by the curved slope brick (part id 6091). Unless its not a essential piece to cover up a gap or provide support for the flex tube assembly, it could probably benefit from being swapped. But all in all. Im not going to let that small detail ruin the build. It genuinely looks very well done.

Historically you may receive a discount if the designer was just making some updates. But if the design is very different its a new model and the designer deserves the full asking price. We don't all get new cars when they release the new model. Sony didn't have to give me a PS5 because I bought a PS4. This updating wave is just making me cautious buying the older instructions, if I want the newest. Sometimes the people prefer the older ones though.
