AWESOME! Not only is this a great Lego model of the 1989 Batwing but this is also one of the best representations of the 1989 Batwing we have ever gotten. Well done Lego. This is a must. I already have the spot for it on the wall of my home office.

Nice review! Thanks for posting! 👍 Speaking of scratches.... I just finished the Lego Downtown Diner. While building, when I got to the steps to installing the big windows for the first floor, I immediately found the curved window section to be pretty badly scratched. I notified Lego to let them know, and they sent me not one, but two replacement windows. They packaged them in individual plastic bags, and both arrived perfect! 🙂 The Diner is now finished with LED lights installed, and it sits in a Kingdom Bricks Supply display case! Beautiful! And, of course; I have a spare window, too! Lol! When I began the build and noticed all those large windows were packaged loosely along with bricks, I suspected I might find scratched windows! Yep! Surprisingly, however, only the one was scratched. Lego has great customer service! They asked me what I thought would be a better way to package. And, I told them that I would recommend packaging windows separately to prevent this from occurring.

The cockpit fits in but doesn’t fall off the build when turned upside down, I know because I own it. It fits in a specific way that keeps it from falling out. My one problem with the quality of the set was that I got a slightly fucked 1x2 black plate but it still fit in the built and works so whatever.

Honestly my only problems are the fact the cockpit glass didn’t atleast have a print at the back to make it not so elongated, and also the gray flaps, other than that this is a top tier 18+ set

I was thinking the same. I might just use some black electrical tape to blend the cockpit in. I’d say paint it with some acrylic but I could be chased by Lego fans wielding pitchforks 😅

Don't know the reason of transparent parts being shipped scratched... maybe it's the plastic quality. I had a similar issue with the 20th Anniversary Slave I canopy. But Lego Customer Service had done a pretty good job sending me a brand new one two weeks after my complain.

I will be picking it up eventually as I just got the batmobile last week. The one thing I dont like about it is the stand and the way it is angles. I will have to modify it so the top side is facing out instead of the bottom.

What I've heard is 1) cost, obviously & 2) so that there are no misprints and collectors can perfectly align them. Also IMO when the print would be on a rough surface like a brick slope instead of a tile a sticker can look better. THoughts?

If you take a soft lint free cloth and gel toothpaste you can buff out the scratches. Not paste it has to be gel
