Personally, I think the color suits exactly the type of "serious character" that long ago bionicle needed. I mean, in a design conference it was like "we need a badass color character girl for the mean villain this year", and then some dude: Make her all black. With Silver for the fancy

One of the few Bionicle sets I purchased again many years after I got my original Roodaka in 2005. She stands right next to my original Roodaka who has become part of my only and original The Shadowed One. You should review that combiner. It's worth it.

Roodaka is best girl. Definitely my favorite set from 2005. She has such an iconic design. Although the set would have looked a bit better with a dark blue accent to break up the already monochromatic color scheme.

Roodaka is my favorite Bionicle titan set, and I have her now ever since a few years ago when I went to Brickcon. I like her because of how imposing she is as a character, even in the main Bionicle storyline.

I interpreted Roodaka's spinner arm as her making a flicking motion, with the extended black piece being her index finger. As if she's so strong on her own that just the slightest gesture from her fingers can send a rhotuka spinner flying at lethal velocity. Imagine her closing a scene by just picking up a spinner off the ground and then tossing it like a shuriken directly at someone challenging her authority.

Love that this character has effectively betrayed every major faction in the Bionicle universe at some point or another😂 so much so the Order of Mara Nui had to sentence her to the Pit with all the trouble she was causing. Kind of agree with the color scheme idea, except that I think it should've been accent pieces rather than the whole thing(something to be more movie accurate) those blue pieces might not have meshed well with the combiner models which I think have as much story significance as the base models this time around which is a trend I'm glad 2005 started.

As the guy who snapped this set up during the original collection sell-off from last year, it's extremely surreal to watch this back while knowing I have this exact set on display on my living room. I got her and Hahli as I knew finding either of them in good condition on Ebay would be extremely hit or miss. Unfortunately, one of Hahli's ankles has a hairpin crack in it now, but thankfully none of her other joints have cracked yet.

Absolutely adore this set. I like Roodaka moreso as her set than as her movie representation even. I was lucky enough to buy one new and sealed in the early-mid 2010's for a reasonable price - less than £50. Had Sidorak and Keetongu back in 2005 and loved them but never got Roodaka until then. Personally I imagine her rhotuka spinner arm to be something like a prosthetic sword grafted or strapped on to an amputated arm, which imo is cool as hell and really adds to the villainous vibe.

Though I don't know I actually quite like the black and silver look personally, I think maybe in the context of other Bionicle sets its stale but I can't imagine her looking different.

On one hand, Roodaka in a Dark Blue main color would be more appealing as Sidorak carries black through most of his color scheme, second to Dark Red. On the other hand, using Dark Blue on a titan figure would be the second year in a row with Krekka as the first. While I could counter about Turaga Dume and Sidorak sharing red, they're not the same red and not as widespread. Nivawk also shares black and silver with Roodaka but is a smaller model in comparison. What I will say is that having a female character in black and silver breaks away from the blue stereotype as Krekka, a male character in blue, did the year before. Now we have a male in blue and a female in black (away from blue), which can be respected. I wish Bionicle took it further in later waves, like a female toa of fire or air.

best part about roodaka is that there aren't any parts exclusive to her. meaning that you can buy and build her for a decent price. the only exception is the silver rahkshi heads, which you can get for $5.00 or less. a lot for a rahkshi head, but less than the full model and a lot less than something like all the exclusive colors of karzahni which would total you a little less than $100.

Got her today used for around 30 bucks, only problems are slightly torn box, missing instructions and a few parts are different colors (her "ponytail" is black instead of silver (which I like more tbh) and bohrok teeth on her arms are transparent orange instead of silver), still a great deal in my opinion, especially since I have plenty of silver bohrok teeth to replace the orange ones

Roodaka's my favorite figure I've owned and still own. Her design tells us every thing we need to know about her personality. She's a snake, and a fem fatal. She uses both her looks and words to manipulate. The only thing that disappointed me was interestingly not from her figure, but from the movie. She never once uses her Rotoka spinner, which is located in her hand, and I just find it a missed opportunity to make her even more of a threat to the Toa.

Always thought Roodaka was a cool set, probably the best build of the 05 titans but that color scheme really doesn't catch your eye. Almost wonder if maybe they thought it would be weird if the obviously female titan was blue because the female characters had always been blue up to that point. I remember eyerolling at the obvious t n a on the bionicle set when I was a kid, but I can appreciate what they were going for. Sure it looks like she's wearing a bikini and high heels, but in like an armored Amazon lizard woman kind of way. You can definitely imagine her conquering islands through both manipulation and force.

I agree with the color scheme, having only black, silver and a couple pieces in grey and gun metal is pretty meh. Makes the blue pins stand out even more. Maybe if they added some bright red, dark blue or an orange that matches her eyes it would have turned out much better.
