I know this is 6 years ago but the police shield for catching the criminal is actually missable in story because you only have to catch the last one to end the level.

You change characters in the disguise booths you build one in every area except bridges and tunnels

I know it’s to late now but instead of building to get to the red brick you can jump up on the door and use the jet pack, it’s what I did.

Is this game fairly easy to play, even if it involves racing? I don't own this game yet

The only real challenges with the races are making sure you have unlocked things that are involved in the race. You can know you are doing it correctly IF you follow our FREE ROAM playlist order. This will ensure you complete the areas that need to be done first, so you won't have to return later to compete 1 race that wasn't fully unlocked yet.. if that makes sense.

You are correct.. you do not have to hold it down.. you can toggle using the R1/L1 but I prefer selecting the character I need vs toggling through a list. Whatever way works best for you.
