The vast majority of the Mario/Nintendo/video game references were removed from the PS4. PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and Mac ports of LEGO City Undercover. Here is how they look on those versions of the game. 1. The Invincibility Star Theme Song was obviously removed from the non-Nintendo ports of LEGO City Undercover, but the flashing effect still remains in those other versions of the video game. The Invincibility Star Theme Song was replaced by a more generic noise/song of some sort in those ports of the video game, but I forget how it goes, unfortunately, as I only got the effect to happen one time in my 110 hour or so run in LEGO City Undercover. 2. The Five Mario Secret Question Mark Blocks were replaced by the much cooler looking Five Secret Rex Fury Skullptures in the non-Nintendo ports of LEGO City Undercover. The Skullptures also do not make the same Mario Coin Grab sound effect of more modern Mario video games, as the Question Blocks do for the Wii U and Switch versions of LEGO City Undercover, nor can said Skullptures be hit more than once, unlike the Question Blocks, nor do LEGO Studs appear over the head of the character as the Skullptures are being hit. Obviously, the Mario Question Block LEGO Pieces/Elements also do not appear on the non-Nintendo versions of LEGO City Undercover. Strangely enough, a person can buy Question Block LEGO Pieces/Elements in the real life LEGO Super Mario LEGO theme sets, though. The Skullptures all appear in the same locations as the Mario Question Blocks, as well as give the same reward, though. 3. The Five Mario Secret Super Stars, the LEGO Elements that make up the LEGO Super Stars, and the Invincibility Star Theme obviously all do not appear in the non-Nintendo versions of LEGO City Undercover, but, in their place, there are the Five Secret Police Shields that play a bit of the LEGO City Undercover Title Song, along with a police siren and red and blue lights going off of the Five Secret Police Shields. However, said Secret Police Shields still are in the same places as the Mario Secret Super Stars, as well as also give off the same prize when they are all obtained in the non-Nintendo ports of LEGO City Undercover. Also, obviously, the LEGO Pieces/Elements that make up the Five Mario Secret Super Stars do not appear in the non-Nintendo ports of LEGO City Undercover. 4. The Large Mario Super Star Balloon still exists in the non-Nintendo ports of LEGO City Undercover, but said Large Mario Super Star Balloon simply does not have the little black eyes in the Wii U and Switch ports of LEGO City Undercover, but it still exists in the same area of Festival Square as its Wii U and Switch ports of LEGO City Undercover, as well as is still the same shade of yellow as in the Wii U and Switch ports of LEGO City Undercover as it is in the other non-Nintendo ports of LEGO City Undercover. 5. Cheep-Cheep Fishing in the non-Nintendo ports of LEGO City Undercover has simply been replaced by fishing out generic crab traps in the locations where the Cheep-Cheeps can be fished out of the water in the Wii U and Switch ports of LEGO City Undercover. 6. I know that the Cheep-Cheeps have been removed from the non-Nintendo versions of LEGO City Undercover, but I do not know if an equivalent event happens in the same place in the non-Nintendo ports of LEGO City Undercover as they do in the Wii U and Switch ports of LEGO City Undercover. I also do not know if there is also a switch in the same Aquarium area that needs to be pressed in the non-Nintendo ports of LEGO City Undercover as it is in the Wii U and Switch versions of LEGO City Undercover, though, but if a similar mechanic exists in those ports of LEGO City Undercover, then I will post them here in this post at a later date. 7. The Epona from LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins, as well as the Wii U and Switch ports of LEGO City Undercover, was renamed the Traveller in the non-Nintendo ports of LEGO City Undercover, but it also technically exists in all versions of LEGO City Undercover, just under another name in the non-Nintendo ports of LEGO City Undercover. 8. The Red Fire Piranha Plant that can be grown in the Wii U and Switch ports of LEGO City Undercover have been removed from the non-Nintendo ports of LEGO City Undercover, as well as the Pipe that said Red Fire Piranha Plant is on, and the Spider Web that is in front of them, and, in their places, a lotus blossom can be built and the Item that can be obtained in the place that is in the Wii U and Switch ports of LEGO City Undercover can now be directly obtained after building the lotus blossom rather than going in front of the place where the Red Fire Piranha Plant can be built in the Wii U and Switch versions of LEGO City Undercover. Consequentially, you also now do not need a Farmer (as far as I can remember, anyway) to build the lotus blossom in the non-Nintendo ports of LEGO City Undercover. 9. The Mario Warp Pipe that exists in the Wii U and Switch ports of LEGO City Undercover obviously does not exist in the non-Nintendo ports of LEGO City Undercover, nor does the Mario Warp Pipe/Classic Shrinking Sound, both for obvious reasons. However, an equivalent of sorts for the Warp Pipe does technically exist in the same areas in the non-Nintendo ports of LEGO City Undercover, namely, that those ports of the video game have two extra Astronaut Teleport Platforms in the same exact areas of the Wii U and Switch ports of LEGO City Undercover. 10. What I said in Number 8 also applies here. 11. There is obviously no Wiggler that is above the train tracks in this area in the non-Nintendo versions of LEGO City Undercover. However, I also do not know if there is an equivalent, like, say, a LEGO version of a Bigfoot/Sasquatch/etc. in those ports of LEGO City Undercover, though. I will need to do some more investigation on this particular matter to find out if there is an equivalent in those ports of the video game, though. 12. The Bullet Bill obviously does not exist in the non-Nintendo ports of LEGO City Undercover, but, instead a new way to open the cage in that particular area of King's Court is in those games, namely, that a person has to have a Character/Disguise with Super Strength, which means that any version of Rex Fury fits the bill (no pun intended) here. Consequentially, the LEGO Pieces/Elements that make up the Bullet Bill in the Wii U and Switch ports of LEGO City Undercover do not exist in the other ports of LEGO City Undercover. 13. The Bob-Omb also obviously does not exist in the non-Nintendo ports of LEGO City Undercover, but the same way that the cage was replaced in the non-Nintendo ports of LEGO City Undercover for the Bullet Bill also applies to this area of the game as well. Consequentially, the LEGO Pieces/Elements that make up the Bob-Omb in the Wii U and Switch ports of LEGO City Undercover are absent in the non-Nintendo ports of LEGO City Undercover. 14. While the Mario Flag obviously exists in the Wii U and Switch ports of LEGO City Undercover, a more generic flag, possibly a LEGO City Police Department Flag, exists in the non-Nintendo ports of LEGO City Undercover. Curiously, the Fireworks still exist in all versions of LEGO City Undercover after the character goes down the Flagpole, though. Perhaps that was an oversight by Nintendo, LEGO, Warner Brothers Games, and Traveler's Tales/Fusion? 15. The Fortieth Red Brick, which is the Mario Hat, not only obviously does not exist in the non-Nintendo ports of LEGO City Undercover, but that there is also no equivalent in the non-Nintendo ports of LEGO City Undercover, so I guess that the Wii U and Switch ports of LEGO City Undercover have a completely exclusive feature here, as well as the other ones that were mentioned in this post. 16. The Dry Bones that is exclusive to the Switch port of LEGO City Undercover is found in no other version of LEGO City Undercover, including possibly the Wii U port of LEGO City Undercover. What is in its place is a stegosaurus skeleton, as well as a sort of small scavenger hunt to put together three bones on a triceratops skeleton in the other ports of LEGO City Undercover. 17. Curiously, the Donkey Kong reference still exists in all ports of LEGO City Undercover, as Donkey Kong was at a time in the history of Nintendo where it was not afraid to make its video games appear on multiple platforms and this policy persisted until Nintendo made the Famicom/FDS, and, consequentially, the FDD and NES. 18. As far as I know, the Metal Gear reference that Frank Honey makes in LEGO City Undercover still exists for all of the ports of the video game. Finally, if any of my information is wrong, then a. please let me know about it by sending me a responding post or b. let me figure out these things myself and let me also correct my information in this post.
