I found this absolutely inspiring!... I'm sitting at my desk, about to start my day, on day 5 of a terrible headcold... and watching this just got me so excited to want to start my own city-esque diorama... I can't describe the satisfaction of seeing a scene so full of life... I also love the cargo you built, adds to the scene, and holds spare parts👍 .. looks great Jang!

Looking good! Your harbor does look a little more complete now, it's a good idea that you had for those crates, filling them with pieces you don't use very often, and the lights in the mall, super cool! Can't wait to see how it will look like!

My father is a crane operator, and I've always wanted to build a crane yard out of Lego. I think it would work well with the various equipment, yards, crane types, and layout of each yard. Seeing this harbor look so active makes me want to do a crane yard moc even more. Not sure I have the floor space available though, and I need to sell my star wars Lego collection in the first place.

I know that the custom yellow crane is for moving shipping containers, and the current green crane has a scoop for ore/grain. If you are going to replace your green crane, might I suggest that you make the new crane "multi purpose"? Instead of it having a scoop on the end, make it so the scoop is optional. The crane could have attachment options for ether a scoop, a hook, or a magnet.

@mic-drop-745 жыл бұрын
You talked of replacing the crane. An idea I had thought of a few years back was to create a Lego magnetic crane like the Lionel trains version. It's the most popular accessory for Lionel and adds a lot of play value if you pull it off right. Add a few metal strips to cargo and you can unload from boats to the trains or trucks. I had thought of even gluing metal strips (I won't miss one lego piece out of the millions I have) to make it work lol.

My City is also almost done, I only require two more straight road plates and one more grey 32x32 baseplate to have the foundation complete (and some 32x32 for my seafloor and one blue to form a rocket launch pad for the Gibraltar spacepoint) so then I can work on: my school, my supermarket/apartment, a second Doctor Strange set, an Avengers Complex to incorporate into my military base, construct my space/airport and just work on the seafloor with a bit of development into my port area.

Back in the day I played a lot of SimCity 2000, 3000, and 4, and even dabbled in BuildIt until I got to the point where it was agonizingly slow if you didn't engage in the microtransactions. Nowadays though, if I feel the need to build, I need to direct all of that energy into the LEGO city!
