To anyone who doesn't have the skill required to paint minifigures and have them look perfect like Ross does, here are some tips on how to fix most of the Marvel minifigures this year, starting with the Civil War sets: Falcon: Give him brown arms and keep the hands, give him Sabine's guns, give him Tremor's legs, take off the jet pack and keep the stickered slope piece and put it on the back of the wings as well as a 1x2 plate to keep it secure. Black Widow: Not much to help there except giving her Lois Lane's hair. Crossbones: Piece of trash, burn him in the fire he's shooting out of his grappling hook. Captain America: Pretty accurate already, not much to do. Winter Soldier: Give him Poe Dameron's head and 2012 Hawkeye's legs. Black Panther: Zod's legs wouldn't look too good on him, so there's not really much that can help him. Iron Man: Pretty accurate already. Scarlet Witch: Give her Star Blaster Showdown Star Lord's legs. Agent 13: Pretty accurate. War Machine: 10/10!

I believe the head and overall design for crossbones comes from the comics, and that could be because marvel used his comic design as a stand in before his mcu design was created.

I found that the best way to fix the figures without painting or editing pieces is as follows... FALCON-place a two by one tile or slab in dark grey/light grey/dark red on the back of the two by two space on the back of the wings then place the sticker piece on redwing over top. replace arms for brown arms with black hands (for gloves). BLACK WIDOW- good fig, just not accurate (what ya gonna do?). Cross Bones-add to box of spare pieces to never see the light of day (as it deserves).

This version of Black Widow is included in this set because she was only featured in the biggest most expensive sets before this: Quinjet and Helicarrier! This is a nice way to get this version of Black Widow for a lot cheaper! :) The same thing happened with the Deepstone version of Nya from Ninjago this year. The Deepstone version of Nya was included in two big sets in 2015, but this year she is included in a much cheaper set. I also like the Crossbones jeep. I kinda looks like a GI JOE vehicle! :)

+Jason Tardo I like making customs and i make showcase videos so i have some ideas. For the legs i have an old lego knight figure with like an armor print on it and use that. Id keep the torso the same. And you know that breathing mask that crossbones comes with i will cut that breathing part of so it is just a ring and sand it down so it is smooth with a nail file so it will look like part of his giant armor in the movie (unlike the official lego figure) and for his helmet/face i will probablly use clay to make an over molded helmet piece or paint over the yellow where his eye should be by making eyes with purple around it for a burn mark. I will probally do the helmet 1. I will also make a custom face.

I have a solution to the falcon problem. I suggest ditching redwing entirely and keeping the stickered piece. Then I would put a 1x2 plate on the top of the 2x2 area on falcon's wigs and simply put the stickered piece on it

In my opinion this set makes sense in the context of what happened to Hydra in the Winter Solider. I mean, they have no resources, almost all of their members are scattered, in prison, or dead, and they want to steal something. First thing they would do is steal a car and since they have nothing and need to armor it up, they would just throw a bunch of scraps on it. But, it doesn't make sense after viewing the film and having two sets depicting this scene would've been more accurate. But the Crossbones minifigure is actually accurate to when he's stealing the weapon in the movie.

What are you talking about Ross? LEGO just took the opportunity to implement a fantastic looking Crossbones comic book variant into the set. It's a great recreation of his tried and true appearance, and quite frankly, I hate about 3/4 of the movie adaptations costumes for the heroes and villains.

Hry Micheal, when the movie is out in theartes I am going to be doing a few things with this set. I plan to make a smaller brick build redwing and make crossbones jeep look more accurate in color. I'm almost positive that the crossbones figure and vehicle are based on comics designs and not from the movie. For the mini figure having yellow eyes can possibly be the same reason that the batman mini figures always white eyes: Lego thinks eyes shown through a mask is too scary for kids. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the crossbones figure is the same as in the Lego Avengers game, but in the game he is labeled "Crossbones(Classic)", so that leads me to believe that this series based more so on the comics than the movie. Possibly because of lack of information on the movie itself to Lego designers.
