A charming build in a cool blue color is pretty nice for the nice folk who like 1960's scooters... this won't be the most popular LEGO set ever but it doesn't have to be. (Pro Tip: It goes surprisingly well with LEGO Star Wars Buildable Figures.)

It was bugging me throughout the video. I am very surprised that Ryan didn't notice the mistake. I think that at the very least, Ryan should acknowledge the mistake here in the comments. If it was me, I would fix it and then replace the video. Of course that is my OCD talking.

If you haven't experienced editing yourself (i'm not saying you haven't, but judging by the way you speak i assume you haven't) you shouldn't just brag on about stuff like this just cuz of a little mistake.

You put on the handlebar wrong, the light supposed to be pretty much level. Also it isn't supposed to be that much of the grey technic piece exposed.

Hey Ryan. The number on the licenseplate is the date of which the Vespa brand was founded, 23rd of April 1946. It's a nice little easter egg on Legos part.

Beside build mistake with handlebars, there are two more mistakes: 1.) Feet go to lower part, not upper - upper part is too high for everyone except child riding in from of driver and you cannot easily access pedal from upper part. 2.) Pedal is brake (rear), not gas (throttle). Controls on motorcycle is more or less standard: - right lever is front brake - right handle is throttle - right pedal, or left lever on automatic is rear brake - left lever is clutch - left pedal, or in case of Vespa left handle is shifter Regarding set, it looks nice, only bad things are stickers. If those are printed blocks, I would probably buy it.

left lever is clutch on these, (upper bit) is the upper running board this houses the cables for gears and clutch and wiring for headlights. Rear brake is on the floor front brake is right hand lever Shifter takes getting used to but is actually surprisingly I tuitive once you get it and a clever way to have gear indication without needing a readout. It's literally Infront of you what gear you are in. I own a vespa PX (modern gripshifter) and a Vespa GL 1963 same era and design as this just with the trapezium headlight. Incredibly fun but expensive passion projects.

In the early 60s, that blue was the only color available for the 125. Yellow would have been custom, or a later model.

The front wheel assembly is 180° in the wrong position. The handle bars will have to be corrected accordingly and the pedal on the floor board is a brake pedal and NOT a gas pedal.

Concerning the licence plate, on the 23rd of April 1946 Piaggio patented the Vespa (In europe we write the date as Day.Month.Year so 23.04.46).

The license is a reference to the patent filing date of the Vespa. "On 23 April 1946, at 12 o'clock in the central office for inventions, models and makes of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce in Florence, Piaggio e C. S.p.A. took out a patent for a "motorcycle of a rational complexity of organs and elements combined with a frame with mudguards and a casing covering the whole mechanical part" (from Wikipedia)

I like the set as a scooter fan its going to be a big hit with those Vespa fans out there. Can see Lego picking up some new fans with this one. Shame about the handlebars!!! The colour is correct for a mid 60's Vespa so they did well with that detail. The number-plate date idea is great too.

This video is a perfect example of why Ryan should actually be building sets he reviews himself, instead of paying his kid cousin Corey to do it. Multiple glaringly obvious mistakes made in the build. Not to mention, it’s kind of disingenuous to do reviews of Lego sets you haven’t actually built yourself. You can’t really give an honest opinion on the build process/techniques used when you just pay someone else to do it. Ryan, please start building sets yourself again. This is your full time job, so despite what you’ve said in vlogs, you will never convince me you don’t have time to build everything, you’re just being lazy and it shows here.

I don't think the handlebars and light is on correctly. Why is it bent backwards? The light isn't supposed to be pointing up like that. It looks broken. Look at the box and then look at the one you built.
