Sweet, this was exactly what I needed, a comparison with the Red dragon from the D&D set. I think it is a good set, it can be somewhat affordable with offers going as low as 50 bucks now. Maybe it will get a bit more discounted as it sits longer on shelves. That said, I do love the Red Dragon a lot more, although it does seem to have slightly less good articulation, the chunkyness and girth seems a little more realistic and it shows less color bleed overall, which I enjoy. My plan was to at some point buy this Red Dragon as a loose figure, or completely get all the parts for it and build it from instructions, whichever is cheaper. I think this 3 in 1 set is fun, but I'll stick to my original plan, despite this probably being a cheaper option overall and having the added benefit of additional builds. Thanks for showing off the set!

Absolutely, I think the red one is much more visually appealing. Quick disclaimer the red one has issues with the neck joint being able to hold up the head, and the jaw is somewhat poorly attached, but nonetheless it is still my favorite dragon Lego has ever made

@@Brickmestudios I think I can fix that with some modifications. Designing such a dragon from scratch is a bit much for me, but improving the sturdyness of a design, that is something I can do. Thanks for the warning though!

@@Brickmestudios your red dragon has a loose neck too? Glad I’m not alone in that, but I stuffed a little bit of tissue between the ball joint and socket to make it stiffer.

I think I actually prefer this dragon over the red one in the D&D castle set, just because the bottom jaw actually stays on in this one. The jaw always falls off of my red dragon, so I'm always hesitant to move it around or even touch it. I need to find a way to adapt the building technique used for the jaw attachment in this set for the D&D dragon.

I recently got both, the red dragon is super imposing. I love him a lot but that jaw connection is just awful. The green dragon is just solid, and not to mention a lot cheaper
