Hey! I'm certain there's a small chance you'll see this, but I wanted to share something Jang! My favourite video of yours is your 'Nobody stopped' video, about how no one stopped to help you tend to a man who was hit by a car. It really got me how caught up in our own lives we are, that we'd rather be on time than help someone. Well the other day I was driving to a rehearsal for my town's summer Shakespeare when I came across a car accident. They were already getting the guy out of the car and I could've easily driven past like all the other traffic and gotten to rehearsal on time. But I remembered your video about how nobody stopped to help, so I made myself pull over and helped to direct traffic. It really made me feel like so much more of a legitimate person. And I had to share it.

Wow. Well done. Jang should see this. I saw that video back in the day as well. Last year, *weirdly* similar to your story, my Dad was driving me to my rehearsal of a production of Oliver Twist, and someone didn't see us and drove out of a car park *without looking,* with their *1 and 6* year-old children in the back that they had just picked up from Beavers (young Cub-Scouts over here in Britain). They blamed the whole thing on us, as well as ending the nearly-15-year run of my Dad's car. Had a real bad time, and I was no longer enjoying rehearsals for my show, but Jang helped me get over it in time for my final performances, for which I am *incredibly* grateful. Jang has helped me, and loads of others for sure, through bad times a lot. There's so much him and his channels have done for me, it's inexpressible.

They really should have tiled off that ground floor. A garage would have a cement floor or something like that, so the beige floor just looks really awkward.

That was the main reason why I had my doubts about this set. The rest of the set is decent (not brilliant), but that just seemed like a step back. In general, the interior of this set seems a bit sparse, but that untiled floor was glaring. Still, then I figured that since the older modulars didn't have a fully tiled ground floor either and I got them for the façade, I might as well get this one for the same reason.

Palace Cinema had similar problems: they didn't use plates to cover up the floor, but at least they used a red baseplate, so the floor looked like red carpet. It looks much cheaper here.

The thing that struck me when I first saw the interior was the stair access. Each floor you are going through a business or someone's home. Does the person who lives upstairs own the vet clinic or the auto shop? Who gets to use the roof? Does the apartment dweller enjoy people going through his apartment to get to the roof? This may seem crazy, but it is what goes through my head when I see a set or design something, myself. Too crammed and awkward. The outside, however, is quite nice.

I think the roof is for the apartment dweller only. Detail is too small, but the staircase is probably locked above the 1st floor.

It's a thing that appened back in older sets and also in the commemorative set; unfortunately they don't always put much thought in it, they use "lego logic" :-/

Gus Krough The palace cinema is also probably meant to be set in the 1950s. But yeah, these are nice! I like that they are mixing styles a bit as long as they stay away from modern square concrete boxes 😄

It's sad that the car is the best build of the modular.... I DO like some techniques used (THOSE WINDOWS!), but this set is...lacking. It also makes no sense - Animal clinic over the garage?!

Agreed. And why even an animal clinic? There are still a bunch of things missing for a city that would be more "iconic" than an animal clinic. Post office, library, police, hospital, school, hotel (I don't count Cafe Corner since it has literally no interior detail), train station, etc.

I feel like this set is being underrated. Sure, some is a little confusing (a chair on the roof?), but it's really cool. The designers probably had a part limitation and used the majority on the outside so they couldn't make the inside super detailed. Besides, you get all of that dark orange!

The chair on the roof is there because it belongs to the person who lives in the apartment. It's meant to be a roof terrace of some kind.

Been on the roof of many a similar, real building.Not uncommon to find lawn chairs,inflatable pools, picnic tables, bbq and on occasion, an outdoor fridge .Gotta use whats avail.

I think the two 1x1 dark gray brackets are there to keep the window from being pushed in, the little 1/2 stud protrusions stick up enough to keep the window in

The Parisian Restaraunt was my first modular ever and still possibly favorite of the three I own (Restaurant, Detective's Office, Brick Bank.) I'm not as underwhelmed by this set as some, but I don't think it'll be dethroning my favorite. And as much as In like the idea of the Diner, I've avoided it because I think it'll stick out like a sore thumb among the rest. That said, if you have the budget for two of these, you might want to consider the Assembly Square (I think that's the name) instead. I don't own it, but it's a real behemoth with a lot to love.

same and i know what. This garage would not fit most cars in a fully functioning city.... of all the things they could have done this should have a set that should have been concentrating on having enough space first and then care about looking good exterior wise and then finish it off with some extra stuff here and there to make the overall thing look awsome. Instead, they directly went for an unique building form, probably because a masic garage kinda looks boring, but then exterior wise and somewhat interior wise they went for form with lack in function, because again, the gas station and the garage do not really fit a car well. Then beyond that, the extra added interiors are a bit lacking in detail on top of all that.

i really really hope they do more detail for module buildings in the future... like the level of detail like in assembly square or the pet shop... or the brick bank also i really hope they do modern module buildings cus im getting sick of this 70's style some ppl like it but it should be modern in my opinion... cus im starting to think lego is doing this so they dont have to put as much detail (wow this is way too long thx if u red this far :P )

I like it, but it must be a poor seller. I saw 4 in the shop in June and there are still 3 now (2 as I bought one). The price was also down 20% from $349NZD to $279NZD, along with the Rolla coasta. I agree back is a bit plain, but the building is fairly nice.

This is a step down from the other modulars. This doesn't look good by itself or next to others unlike the diner which looks good by itself. Also the minifigs in this set don't need expressive faces and could just use the classic smiley. RIP smiley we will need to buy Benny's Space Squad for them now

I love the exterior, I love how it looks like a real building compared to many past modulars. That said, the lack of details inside the auto shop is really odd, and why not use a grey baseplate if you're not going to tile it? But really, most will see this only from the outside 99% of the time so I don't think it's a deal breaker, as long as you like what the outside looks like.

the worst part of this set is that someone thought it was a good idea to put a vet over a garage. animals don't tend to be fond of loud noises and garages are known for being loud.

it does feel like they've just thrown random businesses that they haven't done yet into it, there isn't much flow to it from a garage to a vet to an apartment. The outside looks great, I love the colour but the flow of the whole building is really confusing
