I still have these characters, vehicles, and props all in a box in my living room. I know I probably will never go through the effort to reinstall the game, rebuild the portal and hook it all together like I did when the game first came out, but I know that when I look in that box, good nostalgia will always meet me there. Thanks for everything Lego Dimensions, you’ll always hold a special place in my heart. I’ll always take a listen to this whenever I cycle back through my Watch Later playlist, and who knows, maybe I’ll pop back into Vorton again…one day

The Greatest LEGO Game of all time because: 1. It has an excellent crossover of dimensions from Scooby-doo to The Simpsons, from Ghostbusters to Doctor Who Even Sonic the Hedgehog 2. MultiVersus is a good game, but I feel like LEGO Dimensions did it better of how the representation of the many Warner Bros franchises are handled, as well as the many third-party inclusions such as Chell from Valve's Portal, The Simpsons from FOX, and, the most popular, Sonic The Hedgehog from SEGA. Nowadays, Warner Bros just act like memes are canon in their movies/TV shows like the infamous "SSJ" or "Ultra Instinct" Shaggy meme that has died literally years ago.

I managed to get the whole collection and still play the game, now on Series X with the auto-hdr and boost and its visuals are astonishing. A remastered version with all the packs in digital form would be awesome to re-discover this game! It's amazing the level of interaction they achieved between the game and the player in the real world with the base and figures. @@r2-kt743 Another gripe I have is that they used licenses they'd already used in the past. I think I'd rather buy a full sized game where you used the I.P. rather than buy a snippet for 20 bucks. That leads me to my next point. These packs needed to be full sized campaigns to warrant how much they costed. Either make a full sized game out of the license or make a worthwhile enough dimension. Wasted oppurtunities.

Lastly, what it comes down to is that, unfortunately, on paper lego dimensions sounds like a culmination of everything you would want in a lego game, when in reality it's the lego game that leaves you wanting the most. I shouldn't be wishing that Adventure Time, or The Simpsons or Teen Titans were all full blown lego experiences, that's what they should've been. It just ends up feeling like a handful of demos with some mildly entertaining gimmicks. It's not dlc or game add-ons like other titles, it's the main bulk of the game. I feel TT didn't fully realize that. A toys to life game I would say got the idea right was disney infinity. The playsets, as they're referred to are full length campaigns with tons of side quests and interesting characters. Even with these however, Disney also had a bunch of other content featured in-game such as the toy box and user created levels. It felt like a fully realized toys-to-life experience.
