Yeah, it’s all over the Monkie Kid minifigs, among others. (The change was making the part with the stud on it half-plate thickness, same as all the other brackets. It used to be 3/8 of a plate. The new thickness has allowed it to be used for some SNOT builds mixed in with other sorts of brackets-I think a couple Speed Champions sets have done that?)

As a Pixar fan I think I'll have to get this set. It's a shame the number of stickers, not even the Adventure book is printed?! The figs are about as good as can be considering how hard the designs are to translate. The house build is cute and colourful, even if it is a bit compressed. No room for Ellie's chair is a shame considering how iconic the two chairs together are. I'm more than happy with the balloon count, anymore would be so finicky and a waste of money. £50 is more than I usually spent on a set, but I think I'll have to. Might look for a moc of Kevin too.

Man this looks even better actually built instead of just promo images. I know a lot of people don't like stickers and I don't either but the details and references on those stickers are amazing for something that's not an 18+ set. Also those technic holes at the back are interesting. Those feel like they're just asking for the back of the house to be modded on to it

$80 in Canada which still feels not too bad considering this could have have been another 250+ DLC. Really like the shelf friendly footprint, and the great amount of detail given the limited space for the interior. Minifigures are also top notch. Record player though looks like an oddly place toilet, as the Monster fighters build with the antenna piece as a needle made it much more recognizable. Definitely one of the sets to get this Spring.

Great review! Don't worry, the classic "Studios" neck bracket is still in use, they just altered the piece to be less fragile and retired the original mold in 2020.

I really like this, the figures and details are great. The lack of Ellie's chair hurts. I can understand why they didn't put a massive amount of balloons up top. If you had to build 100 of them you'd get sick of it really quickly.

I really found the amount of balloons frustrating, I think even the colors could have included orange, pink and dark blue balloons. They would be visually prettier. Spaces are very limited and it's barely possible to play using the interior settings. I missed Kevin too. But considering the value, you can accept the lack of these elements. My rating is also 8/10 and I'm so excited to have it in my collection!

Really excited for this! It’s my favorite Disney movie! I’m definitely going to get this one! Maybe not right away because Indiana Jones & Jurassic Park sets also come out around the same time. I’ll definitely have to strategize my budget with all this stuff from my childhood I’m nostalgic for coming out soon. I think for the price point during the times we are living in currently, they did a fantastic job. I would like to suggest that everyone unhappy with the size think back to WHY he was forced to start the Great Adventure on his own in the first place. Remember how colossal the buildings became AROUND the little house over time. That is a huge part of the movie in my eyes. So if you have a Lego city already built....wouldn't the size kind of make sense? And everyone, get out your micro paint brushes or go to a scrapbooking store and find some handprint stickers for the mailbox. Make it special in your own in a way. And @just2good fantastic review. Seriously.

I echo your distaste for round stickers. I am planning to get this set through. Hopefully the balloons won't be too hard, as I have limited use of my left hand. I've managed to put some fairly complex builds together even with that limitation, so as I said, I'm hopeful.

I think it’s a pretty good size, it’s small enough that a young child could build it and move it around to play with, it does look strange with such a small amount of balloons, but children won’t care and if you really want more you can just buy the pieces and add them yourself, would definitely be tedious though

Yeah...I'm still not sold on this. The minifigures look pretty good within the constraints of the LEGO minifigure shape. But the house is incredibly underwhelming and it's not just the balloons. the façade itself is so weak compared to the superior designs seen on Ideas...I just can't see this being worth 60€ to me. It's a nice set to get on sale or clearance. But I don't see myself buying it otherwise.

They should've used a darker color for Doug. Maybe medium nougat or medium tan... Regular tan is too pale for his orange-ish fur.

I kept think something looked off about Carl, then i got the side by side with his actual character design and its the nose. Still a great set (though i do wish they included the mailbox with the hand prints) and one I look forward to adding to my collection
