Regarding the license skins, while it may be easy to import in some characters like Star Wars for which there are already corresponding minifigs, there may be some legal issues that prevent that from occurring. It's not about the raw assets, it may be about trademark agreements between Lego, Fortnite, and the license holder.

to be fair, they did say "certain IPs" which could mean only the IPs that Lego hasn't licensed, which means we could get things like DC, Star Wars, and Marvel, but we could also get IPs like Stranger Things and Horizon Zero Dawn as Lego has access to those IPs

One thing I bet is almost sure now is a CMF series. When you look at the LEGO skins in the game, you see their detailing is clearly in a CMF quality. They almost all have arm printings and leg printings and there are many new hairpieces and headpieces. And when you think about it, you realize that every single figure is made so it could exist as a physical figure so it looks like they were already design to be physical figures as well. Also, there are too many iconic figures made to be covered only by the sets. I just wonder how many figures it will include because 12 is definitely not enough for such a huge roster.

To answer what happens when you put on a licensed skin in the Lego mode, it just appears as a Lego-ized default skin. It’ll be interesting to see if that changes in the future with certain skins though.

The Lego minifigures of Fortnite skins that are accurate are spot on! Considering how Epic made a tweet saying that only 317 of the Fortnite skins currently usable in the Lego mode have highly detailed accurate Lego minifigures and that they’re actively working on making the rest super accurate, I think the final result will be every non collab Fortnite skin and maybe some collabs having super accurate Lego minifigure versions.

Licensed skins are getting LEGO variants, but not all of them. Some IPs will not be made, but it's safe to assume that all of the ones LEGO has already made are getting variants.

I kind of hope the Transformers Fortnite skins could see in-game LEGO mini-figure forms, as LEGO did make that Optimus Prime set. But at the same time it was only one set (without any mini-figures) and LEGO would probably have to come to another agreement with Hasbro if we were to see mini-figures for the Transformers skins.

Not sure if this has been answered for you already (sorry if it has), we technically do have that hairpiece but its mirrored (other eye covered) and only comes in a dark red colour I believe, hope that helps.

One thing I’m curious about is if there are ninjago and dream sets in the files would we possibly get skins in game for them, if that’s the case are they gonna be Lego exclusive skins for that mode? Or could they make more humanoid versions for battle Royal, festival, racing, or any experiences? I’m very interested in this whole concept of Lego and Fortnite. I’m also feeling very bad for my wallet. 😭😭 also I hope there’s a way to get Lego exclusives in game for the mode like say I don’t have Evie, Midas, or Peely if they find a way to let us be able to use those skins without giving the actual fortnite skins to us cause they were previous bp skins I would be happy. I want Evie, Peely, and Jules to play as in the Lego world but I wasn’t able to play Fortnite back then so I’ve missed a lot of cool skins and whatnot. But regardless of if I’m able to play them in game or not they better release multiple cmf series and sets cause I’m buying every one that I can. 😭😭
