I gotta get that set, and see if it's possible to put the ladder on the other side. For some reason, the black ladder is on the wrong side of the car.

It's technically on the correct side - this set is based on the Ghostbusters: Afterlife Ecto-1. The ladder was moved to the driver side of the car to make the gunner/jump seat possible. Although I'm sure there is a way to move it to make it more like the original ECTO-1; but for this set it is in the correct spot.

@@jwr911 Oh okay. The whole gunner seat explains the ladder location. But, I want my Ecto-1 to be like the original 1984 version. I just ordered mine recently, and I don't want to put the rust stickers on mine.

I think LEGO gave you the option to make it OG or Afterlife as far as the stickers. I haven’t built it yet, but once I do, I’m going to figure out how to put the ladder on the correct side.

I just finished it, and all you have to do is rearrange the cable on the left and the back cable on the right and move the ladder into the right place. It was pretty easy, and I used leftover pieces from the set.

The only difference between the afterlife ecto-1 and the original is the gunner seat, the rc ghost trap and that the ladder has been switched from the right side to the left side or the car

Zum ersten mal find ich es gut, dass bei einem 200€ Set Sticker dabei sind. Der Rost kann ruhig wegbleiben und wenn mir der Film gefällt, kommt er drauf :D der Rest hätte trotzdem bedruckt werden können, da die meisten weiteren Sticker diese nervigen kleinen waren Ich find bei solchen Display Sets sollte man die Steine bedrucken, da der Großteil das ding eh nimmer auseinandernimmt.

So from someone that’s never built Lego before I picked the EOTO-1 build for my 1st attempt 😢I have made mistakes on the way but the build gone very well. I do however need a little help….. I can’t get the first 2 sections of the roof from the windscreen across the top of the 2 front doors and it then sits onto the inside bulkhead by the door pillar the roof looks like it slops and not sitting correctly. Have I done something wrong or is it just that way?

Really surprised how large/clean this model looks. Definite must have alongside the 89 Batmobile. Play features are also a really nice touch and not to obtrusive of the overall build. Lego really nailed it with this one.

Schade, das Video ist viel zu schnell. Deine ersten Videos waren besser. Ich werde mir das Set holen. Werde aber die Sticker nicht aufkleben, damit der Wagen den original Look hat. Vielleicht noch die hintere Beifahrertür richtig anschlagen und den Aufbau hier und umbauen, damit es wie im ersten Film aussieht.

Achtung, konstruktive Kritik: Für die Speedbuilds wäre es besser, den Autofokus der Kamera abzuschalten und am Anfang einmal manuell zu fokussieren (und dann während des Bauens natürlich möglichst immer bei derselben Entfernung zur Kamera bleiben damit nichts unscharf wird). Damit wackelt der Autofokus nicht die ganze Zeit hin und her und das Video sollte dadurch viel ruhiger werden... sofern die Kamera das zulässt. Advanced Mode: Noch besser wäre auch die komplette Belichtung (Blende, ISO, Belichtungszeit) manuell festzulegen, damit werden auch die Helligkeitsschwankungen vermieden (die im Schnellvorlauf natürlich auch alles sehr unruhig machen). Natürlich muss auch dies von der Kamera erstmal unterstützt werden...
