Not sure that you ever watch other Lego KZbinr's videos but Jason has put a few videos up about this set and in one he moved the tiles with the names from the cover to the spine. Would fix one of your issues somewhat although a title would have been much better on the spine.

I felt it was perhaps a little too simple at the beginning, but I didn't realize there was another story you could swap in! It's such a charming little set and I'm glad the names of the original designers were on it instead of the Lego employee who translated it into it's final form. I thought that was a little disrespectful when they had the Lego designer's initials on the Ship in a Bottle and I'm glad they did the respectful thing in this case.

JK Brickworks has put up a tutorial on youtube to add a simple clasp with the pieces that come in the set. (and a more elaborate one with extra pieces). Also you can put the plates with the "authors"'''s name on the spine to give that a little more detail

I don't buy LEGOs myself (specially 'cause it costs nonsense down here in Brazil), but I watch most of Jang's videos and I have to say: this is the most impressive set I've EVER seem. Probably pretty fun to play with, it looks beautiful and the mechanics are just amazing. Just the perfect LEGO set.

Nicely executed idea. Reminds me of the old Peepshow fairytales. It would be nice to see an addition pack with more stories. I can see kinds enjoying acting out stories, possibly elaborating on them for 'fractured' fairy tales or taking them into school for show and tell.

This set is great, and I have to agree with Jang on the fact that there is no print on the spine of the book, would look so much better on a shelf. Maybe two interchangeable prints, one for red riding hood and one for Jack and the beanstalk. Then you could get two and have them next to each other.

Easy 1 piece customization I would do right away: put a white ice cream scoop piece on top of the chimney to represent smoke (light bluish gray would be even better, but I don't think Lego has made that piece in that color as of yet). Love this set; I'd be torn as to which story to display in it, because I find the Red Riding Hood version more appealing aesthetically, but the Jack and the Beanstalk is more mechanically impressive as to how it works.

I hate huge stickers; such a pain to line them up right and make sure you don't get any bubbles underneath it. I'm glad most Ideas sets are sticker free. (Most: so far I think only Big Bang Theory and Old Fishing Store had stickers.)

There is a very nice tutorial from JK Brickworks on how to build two different types of clasps. When my book arrives I'll add the second version. But I just watched the video from the original submission, that clasp looks very nice too. And he puts the tiles with the names on the spine of the book to make it more hook-like.

I saw a other review of this set when ig frits started thay had multiple things like a castle a cabin a normal house and that you could change and replace those little houses. Its very nice I like what they did with the cover with it because the first one didn't have a proper cover it was just plain and it had a little design but it wasn't good now this cover looks nice and it's exactly the set was the sameway how you opend the book.

You can still modify the book to include the clip to keep the book closed, you just have to move some parts around. I'd actually recommend that if you're dealing with children who may play with the set, because you don't want pieces unnecessarily falling out of the book because of how easy it is to open the book.

Hey Jang, I just saw an add on Facebook for a company that used a screenshot of your logo and video to promote their sale. The company is called cybermankind (looks like a scam to me), but I didn’t know if you wanted to message them to remove that image or not. On a more positive note, great video!

Such a beautiful set and watching you show the Jack and the Beanstalk version got me! So good but it really is just a display set again. The original designer, JK Brickworks, did a video on the amendments he's made to improve the look including the clasp, and some additional studs to add the story. Great review. Still on the fence about it.

It happens in a scene later in the story than I would suppose this scene is meant to represent. But there's existing figures that would work well for that. Take the lumberjack from the collectible minifigs and give him an axe. (Or take the werewolf figure for an interesting variation on the story lol.)
