To be honest, I'm okay with them not giving Belle the Queen of Hearts sized gown piece. Her yellow dress wasn't really THAT poofy and spread out in the original animated movie.

Exactly. Same thing about Cinderella, her dress is not that poofy in the film and the regular dress piece makes it perfect this way also for her. Consistency for all the Disney princesses and that's great !

A hint of pink between Geppetto's glasses and moustache would have been a good idea. No whites around Sebastian's eyes would be creepy. If Simba can get full eyes so should Sebastian. The "ballgown" piece you're mentioning is too wide and would not have suited Belle at all. They should have made a new piece for Cinderella and Belle similar to Queen Amidala's to do a proper ballgown justice. And yes, they absolutely should have made a new face for Belle. Lilo should have had a skirt piece as opposed to a brick and an alternate hair piece.

Thanks for doing this review. I wasn't planning to get this set based on the original submission because of the reuse of figures. Now seeing that there are so many new unique figures that we never got before, I'm all in on this. The $100 price tag is surprising in a good way to me as well. Gepetto and Simba sealed the deal for me as I am a fan of Pinocchio and Lion King.

I don't think there is an issue with the accuracy of the face for Belle. It does look more like Belle than that of Cinderella. The annoying part is the fact that we now have two princesses that look the same and people will likely want to display the princess together. It's a bit lazy in my opinion as the Disney Princess line uses individual face prints and have established that Cinderella and Belle most certainly look different.

Great review, brilliant minifigures, our last missing Princess from the main ones ( and yes I realise there are others missing ) I’m hoping there may be a mini Beast’s castle where they reuse Belle although I can also see them making her an exclusive to sell this set. The one ‘that’s a shame’ thing for me is Mickey himself. When you look at the original submission it was much larger, the face and the gloves especially has a less ‘blocky’ look. Lego have made it much smaller to keep the piece count down, which I understand, but it’s come at a cost .. this Mickey looks no where near as good as the original submission one. Will I buy this set .. I’m 50/50 .. I want Belle and Gepetto .. Bruno I’m not overly fussed about as all the other Madrigals are minidolls 🤮 ( personal opinion I know there are some that love them ! ) I may just bricklink Belle and Gepetto although they’ll be expensive initially.
