Love the video! The 1x2 for Lilo is meant to represent a dress since they don’t make dresses for small and mid legs. A mid leg dress would be a 1x2 brick a plate, and we ave seen this for hermione in the hogwarts clock tower from 2019!

so they CAN print stuff when they want. I love that rose stained glass piece and I love that Belle. Sadly the set itself does nothing for me. I really wish they return to making fully printed sets for series that I actually also care about (like HP, LOTR, D&D and LEGO castle / space). I might still consider buying it if we get a nice discount on it.

one thing i dont like, is that there is very little cohesion. there are many "Magic" based disney sets, and mixing in stuff like Lilo, Lion King which has no magic at all seems like a miss.

If it had a Stich & an Aerial it would be nearly Perfect, as is, with Everything Lego, you have to participate in other purchases to fill in the Big Sets (unless it's Harry Pooper, apparently)

I'm pretty far from a dedicated "Disney fan", but wow this is well done. It has some of the best microscale mini-dioramas I've seen, and while I agree with others that the Mickey... idol? Don't know what else to call it - looks a bit uncanny, it's somehow extra charming to me. It evokes a bit of early animation jank that is not "good" by any objective metric, but is nostalgic to me. And it manages to hit the price point where I have to imagine this will sell incredibly well across a wide age range.

You know, not a big Disney fan here but... Got to say, this one does seem neat and a hell of a cheap price considering the "Disney Tax." I just wish The Little Mermaid had more of a display on it and, I dunno, a couple of the movies represented on it aren't ones thatean much to me and I'd rather see others. But, I dunno. I might get this one? But I'm more anticipating the '66 Batmobile set!

Seems a little weird what you don't get, as there's movie references that don't come with the main characters of those movies. Bruno is not the main character of Encanto, Gepetto is not the main character of Pinocchio, Sebastian and Flounder are not the main characters of The Little Mermaid. It's also weird you get Lilo but not Stitch, and you get Belle but not the Beast. (To be fair it's not hard to get Stitch but I think this is the first time you get Lilo. Also this is the first set to ever have Belle as a minifig and not a minidoll.) Mickey looks OK but it is really weird there's no indication of his mouth. From a distance I don't think it's that noticeable though. Maybe I'm just being too picky, it's definitely a nice display piece and has mnifigs of characters that are exclusive to this set. If you're into collecting minifgs it's probably not a bad buy tbh. I don't think I'll get this one though. I would never buy a set just for one particular minifig (unless it was a relatively cheap set; I'll be honest I got a Toy Story 4 set just to get Duke Kaboom lol) but I do really like the figure for Bruno. Maybe I'll buy that separately.

I am curious why this didn't end up under the Disney 100 theme? They never officially canceled it and I thought this set was specifically for that theme. Lilo should've gotten the newer little skirt piece in red (I don't think it's in red yet) with little skin toned legs. If they weren't going to use the new mermaid tail piece for a new Ariel, they could've given us new characters like Flotsam and Jetson OR something. I don't like that they did the brooms when the main character is from the same movie. This would've been a great opportunity to give us an older movie character. We don't have ANY of The Jungle Book characters. Then, of course, the Simba should've been part 77307pb01 in a new color and NOT a friends character. (SMH) I love it, it just has those few quirks that keep us talking about it. They are marketing genius's.

This LEGO display is absolutely fantastic! While I personally prefer the Fan Model design of Mickey, the final product somewhat gives Five Nights at Freddy's, but it still works well within the overall amazing set. This set is highly recommendable especially for LEGO Disney fans!

This set makes me feel a bit cynical. Maybe you can argue that the water-related vignettes are sorta nuanced with the theme of the scene from Fantasia but there's no nuance to what's included, it genuinely just feels like oh let's toss in Belle and it'll convince people to buy a Fantasia set we have no confidence in otherwise. No disrespect to the designer of course, I like the individual parts, it just feels a bit all over the place and solely an excuse to cross off a checklist of Disney minifigures we don't have yet.
