I had a lot of fun building this; the change from vehicle to overgrown station kept it entertaining. The wheels actually seem to protrude quite a bit in the trailers on close inspection. And there it is; the baby dino.

I honestly Hope Lego continues to make dinosaurs in this style, either by a New theme, or a Continuing Jurassic Park/world theme. Because we have all the models for dinosaurs in the Jurassic world game that would be amazing translated into a Physical figure/set.

If you raise the wheels one technic hole up with spare parts it lowers the Unimog a little which looks better personally

I'm so glad they finally made a Carnotaurus, as its one of my favorite dinosaurs alongside the Tyrannosaurus and Spinosaurus. However, I wish they had made it red, because that is the color that is iconic in association with how the Carnotaurus is commonly depicted. Maybe we'll get a recolor eventually. :)

Jang, do note that the mobile gyroshere launcher can’t go through the breakable door in the outpost attack set, however, the unimog it self can. Also the door it is designed for the “range jeeper” to fit through comfortably.

I really like this set. New prints for the Gryosphere, the cool little display for the Gryo, the Video Game esc feel of the vehicle, I wish Star Lord came with his grey shirt that we saw him have in Guardians 2, but I think this is a nice set overall.

I think it's a bit strange that we get tan teeth here and white teeth on the Tyrannosaurus. I prefer the tan, but I don't think it's perfect either. Something half way between this and white would have been a happy medium. I also think it's smart to reuse existing molds when it makes sense. I'm most surprised by how well the Pachycephalosaurus' paws work here. It doesn't even matter the hands can't hold anything, because the same would be true for the real dinosaur. I still think it's kind of a shame that very few toymakers get the shape of Carnotaurus right. It had a surprisingly small head and a relatively long neck, it was much smaller (only about 7 ft tall at the hip), lanky, long-legged beast, so in essence a polar opposite of this model, but on the other hand, I think it's good we've gotten a big and bulky Carnotaurus in LEGO form instead. Knowing the creators of this film franchise, this model is probably quite close to the on-screen version of Carnotaurus as is, which is what really counts here. :) If anything, the head mold is really nice and it's good we've been given a big one. It certainly has presence and the kids are going to love it, which is what counts most in the end. I really can't blame the youngsters though, it's gonna look great on display and definitely will be fun to play with. A more realistically-sized version would only be about as big as the Dilophosaurus mold, but if they had used that body instead, the swan nect would be a problem, because Carnotaurus didn't have a swan neck. And the head mold would have to be really small too if they really wanted to go that route, and I've got to admit, even though the big head is the biggest offender in terms of proportions even on the present model, I'm happy the head is as bit as it is. It looks properly terrifying. Speaking of properly terrifying and bulky theropods, I hope they decide to make a Ceratosaurus head mold that fits the indominus torso. It would fit so well. So this is still the most realistic or at least the most effective version of Carnotaurus they could have done with the existing mold inventory, and I'm really happy they decided to make it at all. It might seem strange but as far as carnivorous dinosaurs go, Carnotaurus has always been my favourite. Shame about the excessively lifted unimog, and from what I have seen so far, it seems this sort of "design language" has plagued this wave of JW sets in general.

If the look of the lights on the mirror doesn't look right to you (didn't to me) Attach them to the box behind the cab. They look more functional like off road lights AND can double as lights to position outside when you remove the box.
