I'm guessing it's because they couldn't get the figures to look right and Legoey. Mario characters have weird proportions with giant noses, big eyes and big moustaches. Meanwhile Zelda characters look human

Charging $300 and not letting people build both hurts this set a LOT in my eyes. Both builds are so distinct with their own details and a lot of people are gonna want to have both, but are forced to choose between one or the other and that just won’t feel satisfying for a lot of people. I think it should’ve been split into two different sets because honestly I can’t get excited over something structured this way.

If you want both buy two. It’s much better this way than only making one significantly more expensive set that only a fraction of people could afford. This is far from cheap but I rather this than a massive 600$ set that contains both.

i like these smaller looking sets that are completely filled with details instead of being a massive empty building, but wow that $/piece is awful...my favourite set, the medieval blacksmith was like 150$ for 2100 pieces, 300$ for slightly more is insane to me...i'd say i'll get it on a discount but knowing nintendo fans i doubt there's ever gonna be a sale, it'll be out of stock permanently haha

Finally playing BOTW is a mood. I had been avoiding spoilers for the game for a long time because I wanted to play it myself, but I didn't have a Switch. Eventually, I got one but was busy for the next couple of years. Eventually it just so happened that I graduated college just a day or two after TOTK came out, and that was my final push. I've now 100%ed both BOTW and TOTK. An amazing experience!
