The girl and the Space fig is probably homage to the story about "Chang'e and Hou Yi", where his wife ascended to the moon and the guy was heartbroken since he can't be with his beloved wife. But if he's a Spaceman there's a chance he can finally visit her. My best guess.

I love the look of both of these sets. Yes I love the family reunion like everyone else, and I did buy it, but I am ok with Lego going in a different direction this year. The family reunion doesn't take away anything from this year's releases for me. I love all of them. I would like to get both of these when they go on sale. This year is a great line up of Lunar New Years sets and I'm happy with them.

For what their purpose is meant to serve, I think these sets are designed well. Not really for me but they did their job. These sets does consist of unique pieces which could be put to good use in a China town modular

Loved the Family Reunion Celebration and the park that was previous, but I can't think of how to incorporate these into my current displays of City/Castle, While I think they are well done, I don't think I could make use of the majority of the parts, however I will likely pick up a few of the elements on PAB like the torsos and snake head

I feel this year is a low point for lego lunar new year set. Personally will not get this set, esp when the minifigures count are so little here. Thanks for the review

Whatre you talking about? Lol there are lots of different lunar new year traditions... Chinese New Year and Lunar New Year both "exist"
