The rooms are angled differently onto the boat. Not every halway goes straight forward. The water came from the front of the ship and 3rd class passengers tried to get up a stairwell on the right side of the ship.

This is a good video! But if you ever wanted more realism I'll give you some pointers: There was a second explosion from coal dust in the air, all the funnels stayed up. It is a great video, don't get me wrong. But I know Ship lovers will definitely try to criticize.
