I noticed you and Jang both mentioned the lack of Armor with the Knight, let me clarify. This Knight DOES have Armor. In fact he is one of the most realistic and favourite Knight minifigures yet. The overwhelming majority of noblemen in medieval times would wear what was called a Surcoat or Tabard alongside their suits of Armor. These were items of clothing worn OVER Armor (often over multiple layers of mail and plate) to display the knights heraldry during battle and tournaments, as well as protecting the wearer from heat and rain. These were very common from the 12 century onwards into the 15th.

Indeed. Think this would be one of the most historical correct knight minifigures for a 13th century knight. To combine a great helm (the helmet he wears) with plate Armour would be the same as giving a modern Kevlar suit to a napoleonic soldier XD

Exactly this. You wouldn’t see a knight running around with their chain mail showing, for a few reasons. One being it’s harder to pierce chain mail when you can’t see the pattern, two because of the heat/rain/cold aspect, and three to show heraldry/respect to their faction in battle. Honestly was kinda peeved that THIS is the one he nit picked the most.

@@absolute0pygmy yeah, exactly. When plate Armour was taking over the mail it was the same. People tried to hide their weak spots (everything that isn't covered in plate) and converted their fighting stances to, for example, cover their armpits which couldn't be covered by plates.

With the tournament knight, he has the cloth outfit because when chainmail armour was used (before plate armour) they would sometimes wear that over the top of the chainmail tunic

Exactly from what I understand it was much more common to see knights in chain mail over the years than in full plate and they would often wear a surcoat or tabard over the top.

It seems like LEGO lowered the budget on minifigures and then raised the price. They should put more effort into which types of characters they put in because getting better ideas than these is not that hard. Overall I think this series just looks like a rushed filler series.

I absolutely LOVE the Viking mini-figure. I’ll buy these bags just to get a knight(I collect all warrior minifigures), and a viking. Helmet, beard, shield, prints, so perfect. I hope they make at least one set or a whole series about Vikings, and figures would be like this one. I love every thing in this figure. And sets about Vikings would sell very well, as this is a very popular theme. And 2005 Viking sets were the most sold sets after retirement. And now they are so expensive.

Super Sentai is the original show. Bits and pieces of certain scenes are used for a Western adaptation known as Power Rangers. Not all the seasons are used, and they're even used out of order or the story changed to give the characters a different dynamic. Hasbro owns the rights to Power Rangers, but not Super Sentai. So if Lego wanted to, they could make Super Sentai sets without legal repercussions.

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I think LEGO adds minifigs into a series to coincide with current themes. For example, the marine biologist may have been added in order to encourage kids who are in to the not yet released diver subtheme to buy packs of this series to expand their diver display/play.

Well actually we might be able to make a Lama using thag lama head piece and the upcoming centaur legs(If they produce them in tan colors too) (or the lama head in brown in new sets) The centaur legs most likely to have hip-torso atatchment covering that part with a brick then using 1x2 modified tile with neck-head atatchment a plain head then the lama head boom a frickin lama
