There's a obscure nod to the 60's *Fantastic Four* cartoon in *Lego Marvel* _Superheroes_ . You get a trophy/achievement for driving to the Baxter building as Magneto in his Magnetomobile and thusly recreating a scene from the animated series. Also, you can unlock Indiana Jones in the Lego Star Wars prequel game as a tease for then upcoming lego game and fellow Lucasfilm IP. Likewise, it's possible to unlock Han Solo in the Indiana Jones game.

In Lego Star Wars 2 during the first level "Secret Plans" Getting one of the minikits involves breaking walls to reveal blocks with a picture of grapes with eyes on top. It's actually a sprite from Muppet Racemania!

When I was in Middle school and the PS1 was relatively new, I had an idea of creating an RPG game made with lego characters and pieces. I never thought an idea I had thought up as a kid for a game to entertain myself and my class for a project would become a huge phenomenon. Seems I wasn't the only one who saw the potential of legos in videogames. Kick myself now I never wrote up a business proposal to pitch to a company, but I was just a kid. The lego superhero games are my guilty pleasure as an adult.
