Further clarification on the sword holder: of course I know it’s for katanas (should’ve name dropped them), but I’m looking at that as is: there’s no katanas in this set, and the sword included doesn’t fit. My mind is boggled. 🥴

@@just2good Not always when any swordholder piece is included, that character has a katana sword, sometimes they are only for the shoulder pad part, like here, probably to "imitate" the original 2012 shoulder pads the original figure had

When the original set came out, my friend invited me over to hang out. We ended up playing with LEGO, and I remember seeing the mech completely destroyed, and all over the floor. I had been wanting the set so long, and was real salty after that, because I thought “I deserved it more” Good times

I respectfully disagree on your final thoughts on this set. I wouldn't call myself a mech "expert" but they are by far the LEGO sets I understand the most. This is the single best LEGO mech we've had in a very long time simply because it has knee joints. Knee joints seemed to be phased out by LEGO in about 2009 for stability purposes and have been more and more rare on large mechs. The last one I remember was a Nexo Knights mech from 2016. As cool at the Titan mech looks, it's unmovable legs make it feel much more dull and lifeless compared to this. LEGO mech fans are very very excited to get this set. The best mech in years.

Ditto. The fact that it has so much articulation/pose ability automatically makes it among the best Mechs Ninjago has (nothing beats LLoyd’s Titan and The Ninjago Movie mechs though). Besides, just2good says he liked the temple That came with the old set better but a) he also,says he never had or owned the old set with the mech and temple and b) there’s been SEVERAL better temples released after that temple, for example Temple of Airjitzu or last years Spinjitzu Monastery. That’s what I sometimes dislike about just2good, he sometimes doesn’t really think through/does his homework before blabbering some of his opinions.

XXX yeast Infection, I agree with you. Although, if we compare this set’s price just with the number of LEGO pieces and bricks it contains, it is actually not cheap at all. However, compared to how tremendously popular, highly anticipated, and desirable this set turned out to be, it is quite cheap, I guess.

Lloyd's sword isn't supposed to go in the scabbard. Also, this looks like they sized down Lloyd's titan mech from last wave and put some Golden Mech details and knee joints. Like, look at those arms. Besides the greebling, they are IDENTICAL.

The sword is not supposed to fit in Lego put the armor as the original armor would not fit so they put this season 11 armor so I can be kinda accurate to the original minifig golden Ninja

I hate the new Lego ninjago line. The older voice actors and look of the characters are too iconic and can’t just be replaced. The sword holder just shows how lazy Lego are getting with the ninjago line. They probably lost lots of followers when they remade the characters. Great vid though, just sharing my thoughts.

Besides the knee articulation this seems very similar to Lloyd's Titan Mech from 2019. That's not a bad thing (the Titan Mech is a fantastic build), but might be a bit samey for thise who already have that one.
