The 911 turbo targa (also known as 930 targa) was a very limited production car with only a few hundred being built, mostly from 1988-1989. The turbo targa was onky avalible as the 930 tho and all other 911 turbo generations would only be a coupe or cobriolet. Nowadays 930 targas can reach prices avaraging around 150-250k depending on the spec and condition

You can almost build a Turbo Targa with the one set, but short by about seven pieces, as some of the parts you need for the spoiler, are used in the Targa roof bar. I show this in my videos on my channel if anyone wants to have a look.

The 2.7 rs was based on the original 911 (also known as 901/911) while this was made on the G model 911, they have vastly diffrent bumpers, interior, and even engines. Speedster however could be done, as it is based on the G model, only mods would be the double bubble rear end that goes in place of the rear seats and a slightly more raked back windshield

Special thanks goes out to Connor McMurray who was the first to suggest this! This is the Porsche 911 Turbo Targa, made using two of the new 10295 LEGO sets. I think you can build it using only one set but you'll have to make some substitutions in certain small areas. If anyone tries it let me know! I also tried Connor's suggestion to replace the tiles above the windshield with 1x2 cheese slopes but I found it to be rather boxy-looking and reverted back to the official version. The 2x2 and 3x3 arches are indispensable, the 1x2 slope only if you want to use the targa and turbo printed slopes (as shown in the video), the other parts can be shuffled around.

Awesome vid! When I first saw that kit in the youtube videos my first thought was "neat". Second thought was "I wonder if the Targa can be assembled with the Turbo treatment". So I guess it can. Also, on the real 930 Targa the engine cover would just say Turbo. The Targa script goes on the bottom of the Targa bar on both sides. :) And yes, a real 930 Turbo Targa does exist. It's very rare and only a handful were made but I did see a factory one with my own eyes in Monterey in 2019.

Yes but the turbo engine has the intercooler on top of it and i am not sure if the normal hood can close with it on

You need to build the intercooler three studs deep, but of you do that, the boot closes.

I believe you can, just not exactly how I did here. However, if you do have the necessary spare parts at home it's 100% possible, the parts you'd need are extremely common.

Yes, and some parts are common to the different rear windows so it's not possible to instantly switch between them.

Those are fine mods but no one yet has addressed the huge problem with the unfinished body panels under the head lights. It looks absolutely ridiculous the way LEGO left that area . It is NOT how a Porsche looks it has a smooth finish and it’s supposed to flow to the hood. Same lack of detail on the fiat 500 on the rear panels. I think if they are “LEGO EXPERT BUILDERS” they should pay more attention to those details, it truly upsets me the way they cut corners you don’t have the parts MAKE THEM LEGO.
