300euros for the 7740 in such a condition and completeness is a frickin' steal!! I paid a great deal less for mine 10-12 years back however it was the loco/wagons only, no tracks nor box. OK, I'll easily admit I'm no box collector. However I've just recently cleaned out my childhood home (owned by my family since '59 so never before a thorough cleanup) and only 10-12 Lego boxes in nice condition were found, rest was trash. Most were medium town sets. So what strikes me is just how many 7740 sets are sold - even with box in good nick - now some 40+ years after they were in the shops...!? You're gonna love your 7740; grey era trains are the best!!

It was even the best price I found, there was lower prices sets to find locally but there was always something missing and/or the bricks where in a shabby state. I consider the box a bonus, but it makes sense that the old sets often have their boxes as they where of a good quality and made to be kept. I do have a couple of classic sets with their boxes my 7730 and 7760 even have all the inlays (found locally also for a good price).

I have that one too, but not boxed. Looking forward to your video, they have been very enjoyable so far 😃 I miss set no. 7727 and 7750 to have a complete 12v train collection. I doubt I'll get the 7750 as it's rather high in price even without box.

NO.....Just NO!.....You must go through some sort of Indiana Jones task to get that set. I want huge rolling boulders and skeletons in a dark cave with that set on a pedestal or it is simply not fair! Comes home and its in a box?...NO!
