For the car with the top that does not fit flush with the minifig inside, maybe it would fit better if you took off the minifig's legs or detached its head. Unfortunately, some Lego cars are not designed for a minifig with all of its parts. I think Legoland might have a Ferrari section in the park. Have you ever been there and, if you have, did you enjoy it?

True, some cars are not designed to fit minifigures, but these usually are. I have been to LEGOLAND CA, and I definitely remember seeing a giant brick built Ferrari.
