These 8 stud wide speed champions got me back into Lego after 15 years. I understand the criticism some people have, but in the end, 8 stud wins for me. These 2021 models look great as well, looking forward to your review of the Chevy set!

exactly my words. after 10 years, i got gift from my friend which was actually speed champions like chinese building blocks toyota supra of paul walker (huge F&F fan here). building that, i find new passion and next day went to see in local toy store what lego can offer to me. then i saw countach, which is my dream car ever since i saw it for first time in my 7 years. it was immediate buy. and i love it. then, evija and elva came. after 10 years, back on lego boat

Same. Got me thinking they were acually scale model cars. Adult collectibles. Of course I do the occasional broom broom on my desk. Albeit behind locked doors haha.

This is probably my favorite set out of the whole wave. The GT is just gorgeous

The GT could have a "9" on the doors in the correct position when the tiles of the doors are exchanged side by side.

You can swap the doors around to get the number 9 to show instead of the 6, by swapping the left door 2x4 plate with the right door 2x4 plate and positioning in the correct place (at the front, rather than at the back, like shown in the video) by rotating the piece 180 degrees. Hope this helped!

Man, just watched the Corvette review and it made me appreciate these vehicles a whole lot more. I wish the GT was sold separately, It's amazingly accurate and looks really cool!

The color of the real GT seems to be more muted, but I'm glad that LEGO went with a more vibrant color. Looks great and really pops!

If you flip the 6 to be a 9, put it on the opposite door, it will make the number placement correct.

What Lego can do is to release each of these cars as different sets so that the people who can’t buy this set because they can’t afford it can buy it. This way even Lego will make more profit and people can enjoy these sets as separate cars.

It won’t fix the printed fitment issue, but the headlights on the GT are on the wrong sides. They need to be swapped. The gap in the grey outline around each light faces the front of the car. You can see the proper orientation on the box

@@darrenfalconer3267 Well when i had made it, i created sort of a crossing beam that would move under the car, then i added some rubber band for tension, i recently removed it because it got a bit boring. I made the suspension myself tho.

Personally, I really hope that Lego will make more off-road vehicles in the speed champions line, I love high speed and performance super cars and all, but I prefer off road, IMO it's just so much more exciting, and more natural and unique. Maybe Lego could make the RAM 1500 TRX (you know, the giant new Ram pickup that has 702 HP and looks mean, and give the Ford Raptor a serious run for it money?).

@@RacingBrick It'd be really cool if Lego made the TRX with suspension, like the other Speed Champions pickup, plus the TRX has fully independent suspension; so it would look realistic with that type of rubber-band suspension. It'd be even cooler if Lego made a Technic TRX (that's a little bigger than the Technic Jeep Wrangler) that's big enough to house an RC system, an RC Lego Technic RAM TRX with independent suspension would be so awesome! I don't think I've ever heard of the RAM SRT-10... *Googles RAM SRT-10*

I think you have the prints on the outer headlight piece facing the wrong way! Not sure if that would improve the relationship with the inner piece, but it may.

it wasn't the gulf gt that won the 24 hrs of lm it was the black and gold gt of bruce mclaren and the those cars do have something in common they both have new modern models but over all love the video

That was in 1966. But this specific model with the Gulf livery and the number 6 was the winner in 1969 (last year when the Mk I was racing there) driven by Jacky Ickx and Jackie Oliver.

They didnt put a working suspension on the broco because they made a mistake and irwould look wonky and they would have to make a new piece making the set morexpensive
