Lego Speed Champions Ferrari F40 Modifications & improvements using instructions from MadDad Bricks.

The official Lego set was great, but...
I saw the amazing modifications that Matthew from MadDadBricks made and Ii knew that I had to update my Ferrari F40.
I reached out to him and he agreed to send me the instructions and to an interview afterwards to discuss his incredible designs and a bit of his Lego journey.
I am really looking forward to meeting him and building some of his other models.

I use custom wheels from Brickthebrick.com which I ordered especially for the F40. They have some really cool designs but at €12 a set (including tyres and pins) it isn't cheap so up to you if you think it's worthwhile. Check out incredible wheels from brickthebrick here. www.brickthebr....

Looks great. But to be honest, I don't get this obsession with people wanting to open up the engine cover or hood with this model. The only flaws this Ferrari has is the lack of headlight covers and the ridiculously narrow side windows. But for some reason with this model people just can't seem to stop there and have to change the whole thing into a Bburago model. I don't see anyone go through the same lengths for any of the other Speed Chanpions cars. To be clear, I'm not knocking the work here, because the end result looks fantastic but I just don't get the obsession with people completely rebuilding this specific car.

Agree the F40 looks awesome as it is. But I really like the open car as well. Of course it doesn’t work with most of the speed champions cars.

i just want mode with bigger side windows, proper headlight covers et and thinner spoiler

I changed the dash board a bit so the legs of the figures go under the dash now as head room was a bit tight.

Good idea, I don't put the minifigs in the cars that often. The minifigs are really too short for the 8 wide Speed Champions scale.

Looks great, I will try these mods out later. I think mods extend the play value, as a lot of SC models are used for display and this mod allows you to display it how ever you want.

Awesome showcase, just wondering if the 1x3 tile with sticker is supposed to be in front of the doors? or does it block the door if its their. Great video 👍

Yes exactly they block the doors. I did forget to add the 1x1 tile though
