3:45 The only thing I like about the police SUV is that it has the Speed Champions canopy in trans-clear! I don't know if it was already available in that colour or not but if it was then I'm glad there's gonna be more, and if there's not then I'm glad there is now. As a Speed Champions MOC enjoyer I'm quite excited about that.

I miss when the minecraft sets had the built in modularity. I understand that removing it lowered piece count, but I dont think the current value offered in the past year of minecraft sets is living up to that trade off. Especially for a theme that hasnt undergone much radical change in its lifetime

3:44 while I do think LEGO is annoying about the use of print, in this case I don’t think there’s inconsistency because this is around the same amount of new prints a CMF would have for minifigures, and since CMFs retire after 4 months these days it’s not taking up more space in storage than a standard minifigure series probably would

I'll probably only get that red and white f1 car, but I plan on getting all of the minis. I love the mini cars because it gives people who can't afford all the large ones a chance to have them at a cheaper price.

Hmm, I'd say for the police SUV in the off-road chase set, do a recolour of the police specific elements (the lights, and yellow, and blue parts) and it could possibly be used for Lego: City Space as a smaller scout vehicle.

I'm sure in time Lego will come out with more upscaled minifigures in different themes. I feel this racing one is on brand especially rocking the Octan torso and colors. It seems like they're making small updates to the design of the model as a whole which I love. I'm sure Castle and Classic space will come out soon enough especially if people, like myself, buy this one two. Even tho they are more expensive, I prefer these over brick heads. These feel like something you'd see at a Legoland, which definitely kid me loved

00:35 not a strange choice, from the looks of it barely anything has changed from the basic minifigure version aside from the helmet and doesn’t look to be more pieces. Plus being a non-ip set no extra cost. I agree though I think a castle version would be way cooler! A giant Wolfpack beastmaster maybe? Or like you said a lion castle knight! But that would need more pieces. 🤷

1:54 When I first saw the images of this F1 cars CMF series I was furious because CMF’s are one of the only 3 themes I collect now along with Ninjago and Spider-Man. However, it’s been a few months now, so I’ve just accepted that this is a thing and while I’m still upset about it taking up a CMF slot for the year, I can just acknowledge the fact that, OK I don’t like it, I will not be buying it. I’m just putting my money where my mouth is and showing Lego that this is not the type of thing I want in the future. As a minifigure collector, CMF series should be for minifigures. I will be looking forward to the next CMF series this fall instead.

The issue I have with the police car is that the wheelbase and the chassis look from two different vehicles. and some of the shaping of the front is a bit weird but the overall silhouette of the police car is not so bad but the individual details are offputting.

Idk about Minecraft anymore. They had so many great sets like the 21137 cave, all the smaller mines, villages etc and I also really liked the red barn. Now all they do is some weird incoherent builds consising of 800 different colors. It just doesn't feel the same anymore. MC needs bigger, less colorful sets. Another village, villager outpost, proper nether fortress, bases, a re-release of the mountain cave etc. There us just so much wasted potential like with pretty much any set nowadays. So disappointing

The police set 60449 looks very futuristic, sort of mad max without weapons. But like you I think the police car looks realy bad. I like the giant minifig, I have the priate and the one with the red sweater and the cap so I will get this one too. Hope we get a classic space astronaut next.

The real question is, where is Giant-Man or you know Galactus from Marvel in this upscale brick built minifigure style they would fit perfectly?

Completely agreed on the critiques on print hypocrisy from LEGO with the F1 car series since now they're clearly having no issues the moment it's licensed. That said, though, these hit the right nostalgia nerve for me as they remind me of Tiny Turbos, so I'll no doubt buy at least a couple of them to rekindle that feeling of small-scaled LEGO cars. It is a bit lame how they're all the exact same build, but I guess there's not really much variation in F1 cars, typically, so what can ya do.

I think F1 collectible series should have been some bonus lego set availabe on Shell gas stations or something. Ten years ago it was Ferrari cars, so something like this. I don't really see people buying as much cars as the buy minifigures, so there will be slight drop in revenues for lego. But obviously, it has to have a market, otherwise they would not make this

On the topic of the F1 Collectible Race Cars, I don't think the wheels count as more than 1 print from a factory process standpoint since It's all the same print on the same mold. Just different color plastic ran through the same machine. Depending on how their printers work, having the same shape may also cut cost, making the 9 different helmet line colors as much effort as 1. There seems to be a lot of reuses of patterns and colors on the side panels too, leaving minimum two unique prints per pack, to max 5 unique prints plus wheels on some cars. It's really not more than a regular CMF line. Minifigures usually have at least a unique face and torso, but sometimes we're seeing a unique right leg, left leg, hip, right arm, left arm, helmet, accessory, etc... I'm not trying to defend Lego here, just saying that this "CMF" line isn't an outlier from regular CMF figures.

Effort isn't the issue; they've always been very clear that factory storage space is. Every print/color combination requires its own storage space as it's a unique part ID or SKU. The same print on 2 different colors of the same part counts as 2 different parts and requires 2 sets of bins in the stack.

I might be in the minority, but I like the Octan figure more than the generic one. It's more visually interesting to me. Also, I had the $10 Octan Race Car 60053 growing up, so this has some nostalgia value for me. I might actually consider getting it if I have the money in the future. I would like to see you review it.

That’s kind of crazy the f1 blind box has 95 unique prints. 8 printed parts each and there’s 12 of them with 1 repeat print. We can’t even get more than one prints in UCS sets. That are $800 and you’re telling me $5 boxes $60 to collect them all gets 95 prints???

The one large parrot is azure and green but the little one is only green. Whereas the other big one matches the little one. That’s a miss to me.
