Literally my biggest issue with the set, the no pupils I dig it, but there is not a single frame on the whole scene this set represents where Maul doesn't has his hood on. Like I honestly would want this set but I don't have any spare black cape or a single hood to have it as optimal as possible :/

I'll probably end up getting it since i don't have one. But man it's so upsetting of what could've been. First all the details you mentioned and more. But also the opportunity to make the queens royal ship with maul, his speeder,quigon, anakin and obiwan and recreating the attack scene

the ship itself is a masterpiece with all the techniques and its a accurate shape, figs are nice too (although padme or watto wouldve been nice) so i think the set isnt that horrible or overpriced

US$70 sets are normally ~AU$120, which is about in line with the conversion rate, but this set is only AU$90, which is baffling considering the US$50 Tantive hallway set is also AU$90. This one is a pretty great deal over here, will definitely be picking it up for May 4th. Joins the list of whacky Australian prices for LEGO Star Wars sets since March.

They have packed a huge amount of play features into this. A lot of smart choices on the design to get so many functions into a small build. Reminds of what they did with the design of the 75311 Imperial Armored Marauder

Tbh regular minifigures do not have white eyes with black pupils so the new version of eyes not only makes sense, its more stylized and more lego. Good change, I like it

This set is awesome! I had the original from 1999, but this is a big step up. Always good to get a Darth Maul minifigure! They even have the double red lighsaber even if the scene in the movie didn't have that.

I like the shaping on this one more than the 2016 one, and while the 2011 one was very pleasingly shaped, it was innacurate. Personally, I think this model nails the shaping the best.

I think the set's fine. The only thing I would change is probably that section for the storage, and adding in maybe Obi-Wan or someone else like Panaka. I'l definitely be sticking with the 2021 Darth Maul figure I have just in regards to the head (I swapped it with the 2017 Maul's head as I have an extra). The Saw Gerrera figure looks awesome, and it's so nice seeing a brand-new figure based off of *_Rogue One_* after all these years.

A small note, the issue with the landing gear can he easily fixed if you have extra dark grey 1x1 or 1x2 pieces. They can still perfectly fold up with pieces on them

I think it's a nice display piece. I saw the full 70 dollar value in that the set is the best looking sith infiltrator we've ever gotten, the Saw figure is awesome, and it helped me get the GWP droid carrier when other lego sets were sold out at my local lego store. Definitely a great display piece

They really should have just made a trans red mold of the curve windscreen piece, like from speeder, as that window, instead of using the 1x tiles, it feels too thin, and missed opportunity to use a piece that would have looked great and fit that circle perfect probably

Technically standard minifigures do not have pupils either. They have a glint of light in their eyes. This Maul has that as well, making it more consistent. It does look odd though after seeing sith eyes represented a certain way for decades.

I personally am really excited for this set especially since I've never gotten any of the previous LEGO Sith Infiltrators! Especially for Minifig-scale sets I usually don't have a problem when design sacrifices are made for the sake of play since they are toys and the ones here I feel like I'm going to be fine with. I only have a problem when cheap or questionable choices are made for seemingly no reason at all; such as the 2021 75301 X-Wing's ridiculously flimsy front landing gear that just about no reviewer ever mentioned yet if you go on the LEGO site it's featured prominently in quite a few customer reviews.
